Warner Bros. has pushed Gerard Butler drama “Geostorm” back three months to Jan. 13, 2017.

The studio originally dated the film for Oct. 21, 2016. “Geostorm” marks the feature directorial debut of Dean Devlin, who teamed with Roland Emmerich to produce 1996’s “Independence Day.”

Devlin also wrote “Geostorm,” which centers on a satellite designer who tries to prevent disaster when the world’s climate control satellites fail to function.

The Jan. 13, 2017, date already has four titles: Sony’s “the Dark Tower,” MGM-Sony’s “The Magnificent Seven,” Fox’s “Boss Baby” and Lionsgate’s “Power Rangers.”

Magnificent Seven moved to September 2016 a few weeks ago. Dark Tower will get pushed. Power Rangers and Boss Baby are different types of movies.

Easily one of my most anticipated films of next year. I love Dean Devlin and Gerald Butler, plus disaster movies are my favorite genre. I'm really hoping this does great.

Is there a scene where Gerard Butler outruns the cold, then turns around and punches cold in the face?  If so, sold.
