Same guy as last time; Tyler Bates.

Meh. Well, I guess it's not like score is of any important in the GOTG franchise anyway. I don't think the team even have a theme?

The good news is that it's not Henry Jackman. It's always good news when it's not Henry Jackmam

The scores for FC and TWS were hideous. It was a relief that CW's score was instantly forgettable, instead of leaving a metallic screech ringing in one's ears.

I mean, I made a factual statement, whereas you voiced out a wrong opinion. I don't think it's wise or productive of me to fight you over it.

It's decent in parts, but the rest of his works is just too "noisy" for my tasty.

Looking forward to what Gorannson does with this film's music, since he's actually Coogler's choice of composer, and I dug his score to Creed.

I'd say they're gonna send it out with Spider-Man: Homecoming, which I believe is a few weeks before SDCC.

edit: fuck you coolio

That's 7 months ahead of release but sounds right because November will be too late and they'll probably be pushing  trailer out for IW by then.

7 months sounds fine to me. we're 7 months (well 6 and some change) from thor 3 and that trailer dropped already.

Civil War trailer was about 7 months as well I think. I'm like 75% sure it was anyway.

Henry Jackmans score for first class and The Winter Soldier were amazing.

That said, I didn't even know Civil War had a composer.

It was less than 5 months from release. Homecoming and GOTGV2 were 7 months though

Fair enough. I do think scores in most mega blockbusters, especially CBM, aren't what they once were.

You're right, of course. But I don't see why the MCU is singled out for this when all their scores are extremely thematic. Is a composer's dream not a Marvel end credit sequence?

This is a problem with the industry as a whole. If we really wanted to look at the most generic and uninspired music produced for Hollywood movies the last few years we'd be looking at Deadpool, Legend of Tarzan, 302, Independence Day 2 etc - no Marvel score would be in sight (bar TWS, perhaps). The reason they get singled out is because they're Marvel.

A video on the importance of musical continuity in the MCU, however, would probably have a lot to say.
