Deadpool reaches €10m. In last 8 years just both Avengers (16 and 12 million) and both TDKs (12 and 11) have reached that amount in SH genre (we could include Hancock, which did 16, and BvS, which will reach it in few days). Previous to those films we have to look at Spider-man 3 (18) to see higher numbers for a SH film. A really great performance.

Top 5 weekend (provisional)

1. The Huntsman Winter's war: €1.2m (NEW)

2. Kiki, el amor se hace: €0.9m (2nd) - €2.19m cume

3. London has fallen: €0.8m (NEW)

4. Batman v Superman: €0.6m (3rd) - €9.1m cume

5. Julieta: €0.6m (NEW - Almodóvar)

"Snow White and the Huntsman" started with €3m in 2012, so the sequel drops a 60% relative to the first film.

"Kiki, el amor se hace" increases a bit relative to OW (€0.87m). It has had great critics and WOM.

BvS drops about 55%. We will see if it reaches €10m. Deadpool can beat it here too.

"Julieta", the new Almodóvar film, gets the worst opening among his latest titles. It is the first time that an Almodóvar film is not the biggest Spanish film during the opening weekend (Kiki wins). Since he is involved in "Panama papers", he has not promoted the film.

Top 5 Weekend (Provisional)

1. Jungle Book: €3.8m (biggest opening of the year)

2. Kiki, el amor se hace: €0.7m (-22%)

3. The Huntsman's Winter war: €0.6m (-50%)

4. London has fallen: €0.5m (-37%)

5. Julieta: €0.3m (-50%)

Great opening for Jungle Book. It doubles Oz (€2.0m) and Cinderella (€1.9m) opening. It is far from AiW opening (€7.5m), but those were another times.

Oz had a x3.2 multiplier and Cinderella close to x4. Those antecedents should boost Jungle Book to, at very least, €15-16m. But with the very good critics and WOM I think it can go higher, maybe close to €20m.

The week after Civil War's opening there is Fiesta del Cine. I think there is enough market for both. And I do not think Civil War will be so big in order to hit Jungle Book so hard. I am thinking in Ultron figures for it. Big, but not enormous.

Top 5 Weekend (Estimates - Source: Rentrak)

1. Civil War: €3.6m

2. Jungle Book: €1.9m

3. Kiki, el amor se hace: €0.3m

4. Toro: €0.2m

5. London has fallen: €0.1m

Civil War opens a 70% higher than Winter Soldier (€2.1m), but 17% lower than Age of Ultron (€4.3m 3-day / €5.5m 4-day). Winter Soldier had a 2.65 multipier. Taking that data, CW should reach €10m, tied with both BvS and Deadpool.

Jungle Book drops a very good 33% in spite of CW opening. Cume should already be close to €10m.

Today it is holiday in some regions of the country, including Madrid. Films could still do good numbers today. And next week (May 10-12), Fiesta del Cine.
