those are all terrible choices, I really don't see the need for a female director for this film, I mean it's one thing if one happens to fit the bill but it looks like they are going out of their way for that.

I hope she gets it, Daisy Ridley would be perfect for Lara Croft!

You know I know we are in the age where everything is going into shared universes and I'm kind of sick of it. but I wouldn't be completely opposed to a Uncharted/Tomb Raider cross over. after all it kind of already feels like they inhabit the same world. plus they are pretty much the two sexiest VG characters ever. and they are like 10x more amazing than the lame excuses for love's interests in their own franchises and they would make one bad-ass powerhouse couple.

Have you played  The Tomb Raider reboot? it's just crying for a movie, plus it's amazing. and I don't know about we, but I do, Laura Croft is one of my all time favorite video game characters. it would have to be done right. and I personally like Uncharted and Tomb Raider as a cannon, much better than Indiana Jones.

Daisy Ridley is going to become typecast super fast if she agrees to this.

We'll have to see if she can fit this into her schedule though, since I'm fully betting that after she does Episode 8 she'll take a page out of the playbook of her long lost twin sister Keira Knightley and do some Oscar bait period piece that of course will win the Best Costume Design Oscar. lol.

Ehh, i would strike while the iron is hot. People don't even know if she wants to do small period films, not every actor is the same.

Um this would be like her second major film ever.. it's a little too soon to call her type cast. plus it would actually give her a very similar starting as path as Harrison Ford.. he had a fairly decent career I believe
