spizzer
Rule of thumb for Marvel films (including Spider-Man and XMen). Midnight will be ~15% of the total Friday gross. Edited March 24, 2012 by spizzer
Biggestgeekever
Still amazes me that Hangover 2 did better at midnights than Dead Man's Chest or Spider-Man 3. Along with Deathly Hallows 2, it's THE example of how mainstream the 12:01am experience has become.

Webslinger
Revenge of the Sith had an incredible midnight performance. I remember being totally taken aback that a movie could make $17 million (the originally released estimate) at midnight, even if it was a cultural event as huge as the final Star Wars movie. Needless to say, times have changed.
