I’ve long argued (and garnered much hate for it) that Filoni works WAY better in this type of role. He’s a phenomenal “big picture” storyteller, but trips on the details. Hell Clone Wars seasons DRASTICALLY improved when he stepped back to the Supervising Director spot.
