Both new sequels finished the wknd #boxoffice a bit higher than projected. #Equalizer2 with #DenzelWashington opened at #1 with $36M and #MerylStreep's #MammaMiaHereWeGoAgain debuted close behind in 2nd with $35M. Both opened higher than their predecessors.
