  6. I think it's funny that people post how the DVD release is killing Frozen and then in the next post say "Japan doesn't buy DVDs". Can't be both ways.

  7. Drops from Thursday based on estimates: Godzilla -----70M ------ NEW EOT ----- ----15M ----- -22% DOFP ----- - 3.2M ----- -52% Godzilla basically cut both EOT and DOFP into halves but the king of monsters himself didnt really take off with just 70m OD. Sure, 70m is the new biggest of 2014 for Hollywood titles but it is just inches adove DOFP OD (68m). Considering Godziila has IMAX benifit over DOFP, it actually sold less tickets than DOFP on opening day. Many did hope it could top 80m OD .... With 70m OD, it will be pretty hard for Godzilla to top DOFP's opening weekend

  8. Cheer up guys! Be optimist! Frozen soundtrack comes back to the second place on a billboard 200! P.S. Everything is Frozen! Everything is cool when you see Frozen! Everything is Frozen! Because of Frozen!

  9. I don't mean to be disrespectful for people who liked Maleficent, but damn, Emily Blunt doing pushups was more entertaining than the whole damn movie. I'm not joking though. For me, Cruise walking up to her doing pushups in one particular scene had more emotional impact than Maleficent as a whole.

  12. After Pink destroys the human/digital code hybrid machine amalgamated from the flesh and accounts of the deceased game contestants that is part of an epic cycle where the machine, at the behest of its programmer the Jandrew Child, destroys all life in the forums to prevent all life in the forums from being destroyed by bots, but at first seems to have been caught in the destruction as well, this music plays as he emerges from the Internet rubble to reunite with the BAMF crew to take the fight to all Internet trolls. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziOYk_NLxw4

  14. I second this. Godzilla was always supposed to easily outdo CA2 or DOFP in China. No one doubted that it was going to open bigger than the two. But now with that almost same OD as DOFP (yeah, Godzilla was supposed to open signifecently higher than X-men, so it is disappointing that it didnt), it wont touch CA2 or DOFP total due to terrible schedule. It is now also much closer to summer holidays than May. More than 6 million high school students and many other students now are available on weekdays. They were not when DOFP opened. In other words, Godzilla OD was inflated more

  15. Nikki I wouldn't trust it. That list reads like a fanboy's wet dream, not a real studio slate. 3 movies a year? All three major dates every year (what about WB's other tentpoles)? Wonder Woman two months after Justice League? Etc

  16. Yes.Fri-Thurs week will be 90m+. And maybe a 60% drop against Maleficent opening, i.e. 35m 3rd week. So around 380m finish, which means 60m+.

  19. With such a holiday weekend I think we are looking for around 3.5 multiplyer or even less. So maybe 13.5-14 mln for Dragon, around 5 mln for Edge of Tomorrow and 4.2 mln for Maleficent. Surprisingly mild drops for the two major holdovers

  31. I really hope this turns out great, the book is insane. It's fantasy, sci-fi, partly set on a creepy Welsh Island, partly present-day and WWII period, there are fantastical creatures and time-travel and really creepy children who never age with peculiar talents.
