It was originally announced as a summer release. Seems safe to assume Fox aren't the ones who chose 10/13. As for why they skipped part one, it might be because it was never released in China (part two was the first to get a mainland release) and Fox might've felt it wouldn't have as much resonance for Chinese audiences. Of course it could just as easily be that part two was easier to convert for some technical reason.

Great day for India's space programme and a proud monent for the entire country . Even more impressive when you consider the fact that the mission cost only $75m (less than half of a hollywood blockbuster!) . And yes I do think it will help Interstellar. $10m should happen.

Eva confirmed in an interview today she's officially doing it. Maybe Jolie changed her mind? Maybe once shooting changed from now to February Green therefore became available (she has Penny Dreadful to shoot now) and Burton wanted her instead? We'll likely never know.

Just an amazing movie, Peter Jackson took a very good book and made a movie that surpassed the source material in every way imaginable. A+Note this will apply to all three films in the series.

AAll the movies in this trilogy are amazing and epic, it's so difficult to pick a favourite. There are things I loved about this film, everything with Gollum, Helms Deep, the scouring of Isengard. I didn't like the stuff with Treebeard and some of the Rohan stuff. Overall this is, by a tiny tiny margin my least favourite LOTR movie - but it's still an excellent movie.
