  1. Because you want to know what you're getting yourself into before you decide to drop 60, 70 or 100 bucks on movie night out with your family. It's not just movies that are expensive, its everything. Everything has gone up to the point of insanity. So when you have original films and they struggle to break even or even come close to seeing black, just realized that people are more than willing to wait for those ones to come on Netflix or prime or Disney or whatever in the next month or two. But you want to pry money from people? Give them something that they at least know they're familiar with. That's why the name recognition, at least the way I see it, is more important maybe that has been ever.
  2. The Mickey mouse club, remember the Titans murder by Numbers and now all of this. The guy is pretty amazing.
  3. That was a pretty amazing performance from Ryan Gosling and slash and everybody else.
  4. So does any of this poor things love suggest that Oppenheimer might not win best picture?
  5. This is the best rom-com I've seen in ages. So glad it's crossed 200 mill.
  6. I saw Argyle this past week. I thought the first half was incredibly hard to get through and then once a bit of the plot twist is revealed it gets much better. It honestly felt like I watched two different movies. Overall I'd probably give it a 5 out of 10.
  7. First of all I've never heard of Robin Williams daughter, had no idea she was in the movies and I don't think 99% of the population know she's in movies either. And seriously doubting as far as her chances of having some kind of career because one movie that was dumped on super bowl weekend bombed. Could you imagine if people wrote off Sylvester Stallone after he did F.I.S.T? Can you imagine if people wrote off Matt Damon after he did The legend of Bagger Vance? Imagine if people said Kevin Bacon wouldn't have a career after he did quicksilver? You don't judge a person after one movie. End of story.
  8. Remember When Taken open super bowl weekend and everybody thought it was going to crash and burn and then it ended up opening very well and of course the rest is history.
  9. If you can dodge a wrench, then you can dodge some balls.
  10. Just dropping by to say that it's awesome to see Anyone but You claim the number one spot even if it is just a monday.
  11. Why don't you see it first before making silly comments like this?
  12. Completely random post that has nothing to do with the box office but after I saw anyone but you, I started getting pretty sick and the flu symptoms came on pretty quickly so I spent last night under the covers with a space heater on just watching random movies. Hows this for three pack? We started off with pretty in Pink which I haven't seen in probably 5 years and it's still a fantastic movie. Then keeping with the Andrew McCarthy theme I watched Less than Zero and again haven't seen this one in probably a decade and it's still amazing. And then we end of the night I watched revenge of the Sith and it's still massively entertaining and one of my favorite Star wars movies. Like I said completely random post but just felt like sharing.
  13. I enjoyed the original mean girls. I think this one looks absolutely horrible. Maybe it's not aiming at my demographic anymore but there wasn't one part of the trailer that made me want to see the movie, in fact it did the complete opposite.
