  1. Really? I watched it and don't recall anything of significance happening in it
  2. These reactions look solid. Every superhero movie has that one-hour long CGI fest. This movie is going to do really, really well. $200m+ OW. Too many cynical voices on here.
  3. If majors fired, I think they should focus on Doctor Doom as the main antagonist for Secret Wars
  4. Damn! That was one hell of an episode. The episode could have easily been a season finale. Next episode is gonna be lit.
  5. Nice Cowboy Bebop reference at the end. Anyway, pure nonstop action. Little to no plot, but were you expecting. Dog dude and Donnie Yen are both bad ass.
  6. No. This is a good thing. Phase 4 was a mess and had an overload of content. This is the course correction the MCU needs.
  7. Interesting to note for the smaller screen theater, if a movie sells out, they actually lose $10. I can see a handful of people trying to save $2, but not a lot. People will game the system though and go to a low attendance movie, buy the blue seats and sit somewhere else. $1 extra isn't that bad so most people will put up with it. With that said, making an extra $20-$50 per screening doesn't seem like much, especially because the distributor still gets a cut of that ticket price
  8. Honestly, WB is in disarray. Nolan releasing Tenet during Covid high wasn't smart, but ever since the day and date HBO Max thing and now the shit show that is the Discovery merger, Nolan leaving is for the best. It's like being in a relationship and after 15 years, the person you are left is a completely different. You can stay or realize it's healthier to move on. Nolan doesn't owe WB shit. He already made them tons and brought Batman's popularity sky high.
  9. I agree with you 100%. I saw the first Avatar five times in theaters. This is just an overload g echo of the original. I mean, it was okay, but not Cameron at his finest. I think the general audience will feel the same way. It's the holiday, so it's legs will be good regardless, but not as good as the original.
  10. Having seen this, I don't think it will be as well recieved as the first one. The film could have been 30 minutes shorter, and well, for a 3 hour plus film, not much happens honestly. Though, I still think $450m Domestic. China will probably eat this up which will propel it past the original world wide.
  11. OW I'm thinking $150M and finish $600M. OS I'm thinking $1.5B-$2.5B So, I think at least $2B WW with the possibility of becoming the highest grossing film of all-time WW.
  12. Apple buying Disney has been a rumor for an incredibly long time and honestly is just gossip and deluded thinking. I could see Disney making a smaller purchase, Hasbro perhaps. Their stock price is pretty low right now due to them diluting the Magic game and selling $1000 packs of reprints that aren't even tournament legal.
  13. You know what this reminds of is Steve Jobs when he returned to Apple to right the ship.
  14. Thank fucking god. Chapek sucked and needed to go a long time ago. Honestly, I think Kevin Feige threatened to leave and the Board was like fuck no.
  15. WF opening is good, I think. 10% drop from a cultural event film is no surprise, especially when the lead is gone. I think this will have solid WOM and will hit $450-$500 which is solid. Only the Avengers movies, NWH and the first BP managed to hit those numbers, so it's still solid no matter how you look at it
  16. I think WF opening is good. I always felt after Boseman passed this would decrease. This wasn't another Ledger thing where the actor was in the movie. If this pulls AoU numbers, I think it's a huge success for a movie that managed it without its lead.
  17. I look at it more like Sagas now with the Avengers movies closing those out, so now Multiverse Saga probably followed up by Mutant saga???
  18. The legs on this movie are beyond insane. Anyway, I would love it if we got three $700M domestic grosses this year adding Wakanda Forever and Avatar 2
  19. Going all in on Batman is probably the most sensible thing to do. It does sound easier than trying to create a working DC Cinematic Universe. The MCU started from Iron Man. Building off Batman could be a good idea.
