  1. I'm calling it now. This is by far one of the most impressive post-Covid runs, and would be impressive regardless of when it released. Even if it came out in 2019 this run would be amazing.
  2. I think the gay moment had very little BO effect. Openly gay people are everywhere these days and is pretty accepted except by a handful of people. Not enough to have a large impact on Lightyear. I guess if I'm being very generous we could say $5M OW, but I feel that is being very generous. I think $1-$2M max is the impact the gay moment had. And, even if it opened to $56M, that still would be shitty.
  3. I looked more into this. I guess just a couple of days ago they solicited it to comic stores, so very recently. Then, there is a report from yesterday that the comic is being pulled. Crazy.
  4. Also, Onwards was pretty much straight to D+. Hardly anyone caught it in theaters. So, it's been more like 4 Pixar films in a row have gone to D+
  5. I do think BO is back, at least major tentpole event films. I don't think getting rid of the 45-day window is the way to go though. The window should be more flexible though, and there is a lot of stuff that isn't doing well.
  6. I'm not sure it is Pixar that is entirely to blame for Lightyear flopping. I am sure a lot of this falls at Chapek's feet.
  7. On the bright side, TGM is doing well which I think shows that moviegoing isn't dead, but perhaps for family movies, families will wait it out. Could be that movies that are an experience to see in a theater are what do well such as TGM and MCU movies.
  8. This! Having a child predator be the face of your movie is the worse possible thing that could happen. It doesn't really get much worse than that. And, trust me, when the movie gets closer to release, if child predator allegations are still out there, that's all that will be talked about, and it will make WB really bad for releasing the movie in the first place. Some people suggested recasting him for the final scene or kill him off at the end. Honestly, they may need to recast him completely and reshoot his scenes. That's no joke. WB knows they can't have a child predator as the lead of their movie.
  9. I think they thought having two big shows would compliment each other, but I don't believe that at all. I think from now on, Disney should aim to have their live action shows not overlapping. She-Hulk isn't until September, I think. They could have simply waited for Obi-Wan to finish and then start this the week after. I guess the real issue is going to be Andor. Isn't it's first season like 12-episodes?
  10. I think it's good we're getting new characters in Disney +. I think last year they should have had a mix of old and new rather than just giving all B-listers their own show, Wanda, Falcon, Loki, Hawkeye. This year, I think every or almost every show is going to be a new character.
  11. Now the MSM is covering the story. https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/business/money-report/warner-bros-is-under-pressure-to-address-the-flash-star-ezra-millers-spiraling-legal-scandals/2919771/?_osource=SocialFlowFB_LABrand&fbclid=IwAR3ROAX_Rjj0jOS6gUGmG_JwXJiiq5sMgV_BW3SMuqeTXErfwDLAUYOrSvc
  12. So, is Morbius going to end up becoming the superhero version of Rokcy Horror/The Room. It sure seems that way. Anyway, I can't believe the following this has gained. It was probably the only SH I outright hated.
  13. So, almost identical opening to FK. I guess that's okay all things considered. Now, let's see how it holds up.
  14. So, what's your point. Cleary the audience can't tell the difference because when an herbivore dinosaur kills an animal, the assumption is it did so to eat it. I am guessing not just me, but many, many audience members thought the same exact thing. Until this thread, I had no idea it wasn't a meat eater. I feel pretty confident I am not the only person to take this away from the movie.
