  1. Snow White almost edged out That's My Boy. That would have been amazing!
  2. This is what has been bothering me about this movie. Thanks for articulating that!
  3. Finally saw this movie tonight in a super packed theatre. Lots of couples, families, old, young. A very mixed crowd. I wouldn't be surprised if the OW estimate goes up with actuals. I was worried about the pacing since some people complained about it but it didn't bother me at all. I really enjoyed it. My thoughts:*Charlize was OTT but it was awesome to watch.*The creepy brother was creepy as HELL. I definitely got a weird incest vibe between him and Ravenna. Also worst haircut ever.*Kristen is great as Snow. I seriously question the bias of critics who accused her of lip biting and acting like a sulky teenager (aka Bella). She didn't do those things at all. No she wasn't super smiley but there wasn't much to smile about. She captured the innocence of Snow White and looked beautiful.*Chris Hemsworth The accent was questionable at times but he was fantastic. And his tearful speech really touched me.*I liked Sam Claflin ok? I don't care!*The fairies were the cutest things ever. I want the Sanctuary to be a real place. So pretty.A solid 8/10. Better character development and a less abrupt ending were needed.
  4. I tried to watch SWATH tonight but everything I tried was sold out. I went to two different theaters and would had to wait two hours for the 11pm shows and I didn't bother. It was super busy. I think all the rain was driving people to the movies this weekend. I'll try again tomorrow for a matinee.
  5. I'm seeing a lot of 9pm and 10pm sell outs for this in my city. Sales definitely picked up.
  6. AMAZING. $207 million actual. I'm blown away. :o TDKR isn't touching this.
  7. I think the midnight number is amazing for this. Can't wait to see it tonight!!!
  8. Yes this is so true. Most fans of this series come from the Potter/Twilight fandom. They've been aware of this series way before general audiences caught on. And as for which series is more popular, well Potter and Twilight sustained their popularity over 8 movies and 4 (soon to be 5) movies respectively. We need to see what THG is capable of in the next few years.
  9. SSATURDAY 9:45 PM, 8TH UPDATE…EXCLUSIVE: My sources say this opening weekend’s North American grosses for Lionsgate’sThe Hunger Games are likely a humongous $150 million after making $68.2M Friday and $49M Saturday. That would be a record-setter: the 4th all-time biggest opening three-day weekend, beating all the Twilight Saga films but not 2008′sThe Dark Knight, and the highest non-sequel opening weekend ever, and the highest March opening weekend ever. The Twilight Saga: New Moon debuted to $142.8M in November 2009, andThe Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 opened to $138.1M in November 2011. Numbers refined later tonight.
