  2. I also question Transformers as 4 Quadrant. I'm sure many women went to see it, but I can't imagine that this is a draw for that many women over 25, unless dragged.I think a classic example of a 4 Quad picture would be the first POTC. Also, I'd put most Pixar movies in that catagory, (with the exception of Cars & Cars II). I would also say that both Avatar and Titanic were clearly 4 Quadrant, even if Titanic's most passionate fans were young women.I think that most comic book movies are probably not 4 Quadrant, with exceptions here and there such as the first Spiderman, and TDK. I think some Tim Burton movies aim for four quadrants - (Charlie & the Chocoate Factory, Nightmare Before Christmas, Alice.)I think it is interesting to compare the marketing for Mirror, Mirror, which I don't think even tried to appeal to males, vs. the upcoming SWATH, which I think is trying to be 4 Quad. I hope it succeeds.
  3. Here's my 2009 list: Loved Up Star Trek Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince The Blind Side Young Victoria ::ducking:: Liked A Lot Inglorious Basterds Avatar 2012 Knowing The Proposal Julie & Julia Christmas Carol Just Sort of There 500 Days of Summer District 9 Angels & Demons Night at the Museum Princess and the Frog Sherlock Holmes Hangover :::ducking::: Thumbs Down Watchmen X-Men Wolverine
  4. Looking down the list of 2010 movies, I was surprised by how many were good! Movies I loved: Deathly Hollows Pt 1 Toy Story 3 Inception Kings Speech Despicable Me Movies I liked a lot 127 Hours Tangled Mega Mind Percy Jackson (...ducking) Unstoppable How to Train Your Dragon Movies that are kind of just there: Social Network Guardians of G'Houl Winters Bone Kids Are Alright Thumbs Down: Tron Prince of Persia Shrek Forever After Clash of the Titans Alice in Wonderland
  5. I'm very late to the party! Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Pt.2 (The conclusion to one of my fav all time series. ) Moneyball - Should have won the Oscar as far as I'm concerned. The Help - If Moneyball didn't win the Oscar, then The Help should have. Source Code - ::ducking:: I have a weakness for cool Scifi time loop plots. See, it was the plot. Hugo - (I really hated the score of this one. It was extremely repetitive. But otherwise loved it) Bridesmaids - Hilarious bridesmaids are hilarious Super 8 - Story made no sense, but I grew up around there so... Hometown girl is Hometown. Rise of the Planet of the Apes - I think I liked this mostly because it so vastly exceeded my expectations of it. X-Men 1St Class - I still cling to the X-Men, even though I don't think any X-Men movie has ever really been what I want it to be. Arthur Christmas - Kind of cute Muppets - Kind of cute Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close - Emotionally manipulative in the extreme. The Artist - I didn't think it was all that. I will have to check out this Drive movie sometime.
  6. 2012 seems to be so filled with excitement for the box office. So many good films! I'm salivating.
