this comment shows what is wrong with this movie. often good but generally conventional tale of false accusation, leading questions and the public jury. weird ending, only makes sense as a dream. moral of the story: don't listen to children, male bonding will help you survive. a lot of people like to compare this director to lars von trier, which isn't good on vinterberg. he has nary a drop of von trier's sense of hypocrisy, and the predictable manipulations are much more ideologically questionable: http://www.rooshvforum.com/thread-37991.html

the playboy dude was definitely the least good part, seemed to exist only to play johnny's alter-ego, the second side of a coin. the best parts are extraordinary, though. thewlis gives probably my favourite performance ever, and the conspiracy scene absolutely floored me.

a great cast of characters, good battle scenes and generally very entertaining, but definitely disappointing. it just isn't interesting in the same way some of his other films are, rather a straight action flick. B-

saw this on tv. the score needed to shut up and the action in the end was boring as hell. i liked the science teacher the most. mostly generic rubbish. C-
