Toy Story 3's teaser was just a big "3". Hell, the main poster was just the main characters bunched together holding the "3". "Toy Story" as nowhere to be seen. That said an argument can be made for none of those films being as popular or as influential as Toy Story.

I'm not gay but Jesus I forgot how fucking perfect Sly's body was back in the day. He was 36 there and looks better than like 90% of people in their 20s. Hell, he's 67 now and still does. What a beast. EDIT: Or was that from the newer Rambo? Either way it doesn't hurt my case.

Frozen might stay above 3000 theaters next week.

Assuming American Hustle or Wallstreet don't end up somehow doing like $200 million, when all is said and done I think Frozen's run will be the box office story of the holiday season. Not to downplay Catching Fire's incredible run (probably increasing over the first one) but a lot of people were expecting that, or at least something close to it. Frozen, on the otherhand, wasn't even expected to top Tangled yet here we are talking about how it's tracking $50+ million ahead at the same point.

Personally I'm rooting for 2014 to be a triumphant return of the "original" blockbuster. Interstellar and Jupiter Ascending both have the potential to be big. Tomorrowland was going to be apart of this group, but since it's move to 2015 hopefully it can shine amongst the slaughterfest of sequels/remakes.

If this happens there is no way this misses $20 million for the 27-29th. It's amazing what some fresh ideas and good movies can do.

I'm really interested to see how everything holds up next week. Discount Tuesday is on Christmas eve, which is a day known for big drops. I'm really curious to see how that plays out. Maybe this year we'll get better than normal Christmas Eve drops but suppressed Christmas day grosses?

On another note, Catching Fire will be #2 for the year by the end of the weekend. Only a matter of time before #1.

Lucky enough I think there will be plenty of families free over the holidays who haven't seen it that will boost it up just as well.

It will probably be over $250 million by the end of the holidays. Frozen is going to be one of the most fun films to follow over the next couple of weeks, easily.
