  1. If GOTG stay low, and I mean sub-43%, then surpassing Iron Man's $318m is in the cards.
  2. I screened black swan to my ex's family, including her elderly grandparents. Yeahh....that scene didn't go over too well..
  3. I remember rooting for Tom Hanks to keep the streak going. This was after Toy Story. Before the 7 movie streak began. Then That Thing You Do came out and broke what would gave been 10 straight $100m grossers. Since then I have convinced myself that since he directed That Thing You Do, it shouldn't count against him. As far as I'm concerned Tom Hanks has 10 straight. Lol
  4. When Seven Pounds came out, I was like 'what were you thinking?' Strange film. Tom Hanks remains the most impressive streak IMO
  5. Will Jennifer Lawrence break the 100m streak record? Streak? Too Soon?
  6. Definitely Lucy. It was okay..not even good. 6/10.
  7. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be which definitely isn't saying much. C-
  8. 75% across the board. I'll see Star Wars, Hobbit 3, and Interstellar regardless.
  9. Yes. It's $26m Sunday was also impressive. It made in one day what a good 3-day opening was back then.
  10. Same. I started tracking movies in the early 90s and $30m was the bar for success in my mind. Then Lost World's OW totals published and my mouth dropped. Agree. I always thought Vanilla Sky and MBFGW were obscure films that nevertheless found success in reaching that number. I was finishing up college when Sky came out and remember wishing it, willing it with all that I had to hit $100m. MBFGW just sort of crept up on me. It was actually a poster at another boxoffice forum back in the day that created a "Uhh.....guys..." thread about MBFGW as it stealthily climbed up the boxoffice ranks.
  11. LOL...thanks for digging up that bad projection. I did kinda surmise back in 2012 that Howard the Duck could be in GOTG. I'm even.
  12. Feel free to visit the Underrated Movies of 2014 thread under Speakeasy and share your thoughts! We await!
  13. Wooohooo! Can't believe it's been 9 years. That's a long time.
  14. The ending of Maniac. I forwarded to the end so maybe it wouldn't come off so out of the blue if I had watched all the way through.
  15. 24/110 Comedy about a comedian who creates his own tv show from the basement of his house Shakespeare in Love II
  16. That is fantastic. I wondered if actors can enjoy the films they starred in. Makes sense because it's hard to get a feel for a film when you are shooting scenes out of order and without FX. Also, actors aren't in every scene. There's alot going on outside of what they're tasked to do. I question whether he allowed cameras to film him watching all 6+ hrs of the first 3 Indiana Jones movies.
  17. Franchise never appealed to me but I'm curious how they will update the look after 20 years. Edit: I just discovered that the Power Rangers are still around in various forms.
