  1. Possible to drop 40% or below for this weekend? Without considering new openings. Looks like is having fantastic WOM
  2. Also from Warner Bros (and Village Roadshow/Heyday Films), Wonka had a terrific hold internationally, down just 33% to gross $33.2M in 77 offshore markets. The overseas running cume is $171.3M for $254.9M global including Monday’s domestic estimate. The Top 5 here are: UK ($38.1M), Mexico ($15.3M), Germany ($9.7M), Australia ($9.5M) and Japan ($8.9M). 3. Are we aready for Wonka taking the OS crown this Christmas weekend? Migration seems not too hot and Aquaman is a wildcard...
  4. Amazing weekend overseas and great for the US, bodes well for the upcoming days. 500-600M WW possible, hopefully even to 700M+ and third place WW for 2023.
  5. Found this on twitter, seems it has good WOM in China and Japan
  6. Higher than even the optimistic predictions, strong start!
  7. Seeing the movie tomorrow but its looking very healthy here in Panama (LATAM), think this will be a leggy movie
  8. Maybe we can use TGS as a comparation... DOM: 174M OS: 264M WW: 438.5M Can Wonka past 300M WW?
  9. Warner Bros/Village Roadshow/Heyday Films’ Wonka begins early release in 37 international box office markets this session, ahead of the domestic bow on December 15. Next week will also see the addition of all other overseas markets, save Korea which is going at the end of January. Current estimates for this frame’s offshore bow — which includes such majors as Spain, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, the UK, Japan and China — are for a $30M early debut for the Timothée Chalamet-starrer. Comps here are The Greatest Showman which had a $28.1M opening in like-for-like markets at historical rates ($24.9M at today’s dollars); Paddington, also from Wonka director Paul King, at $26.2M historical and $21.9M restated; and Mary Poppins Returns with $24.9M at 2018 figures and $23.8M at today’s rates. (Note we are not comping to Tim Burton’s 2005 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory due to the length of time that has passed in the interim.) We’re looking at the UK to be the biggest of this frame’s starts, and not putting too much sway on China. The latter market has been inhospitable to Hollywood fare for some time. 10. Hello! Please share your predictions, global rollout starting on Dec 6 at least until Dec 15.
  11. The trailer is huge online, people is going crazy with the anxiety character...guess its resonate with the majorities
  12. Barbie was amazing, what an experience!! LATAM is for sure supporting this movie.
  13. Is possible around 160M DOM + 175M OS for a 335M WW? How crazy is to expect 400M?
  14. America (US + LATAM) seems ready for Barbie, hopefully Europe is on the train because Asia is looking poor now...
  15. Just looked at some screenings here in Panama for July 20 and basically all is sold out minus a couple of front seats. One of the biggest markets in Central America, hopefully every country in the region will replicate the success. Anticipation among friends and coworkers is huge, every girl looking for pink clothes and nails haha
  16. Updated predictions anyone? This will be BIG BIG, maybe 1B...
  17. This will help in a huge way the LATAM promotion of the movie, Karol G is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) singers at the moment. Barbie will be a big hit OS
  18. I thought that Panama did not represent so much for Central America but I see that it is one of the top 2-3 with the best contribution, it is the country with the least population.. Is it the price of admission?
  19. 175M DOM + 250M OS = 425M WW This will be a tought sell for LATAM and probably Asia, Im considering 250M because Chris Nolan...
  20. Huge interest for this movie in Latin America, theres is exciment.
