  1. Predictably horrible for F4, a horrible movie which nobody wanted. It will open under 40m and finish sub 100m which is just pathetic.
  2. I would be shocked at under 70m for MI5.
  3. This really doesn't look bad. Not sure how high it will open but if it's any good, it will have some staying power.
  4. Story lends itself well to cinema. There is one key figure or name to let hype explode ala American Sniper, but this will do well. I am a Republican (mostly) and the folks who think the requested additional security in Benghazi would have made a different vs. 125 pissed off terrorists couldn't be more off. They events almost certainly would have played out exactly as they did. The White House handled the publics perception of the attack horribly, however.
  5. As a piece of marketing, it is good if not great. Movie will still challenge $50m opening day in US.
  6. No way it unders under Skyfall. Not happening. Probably looking at an opening day near 50m after previews, I would guess.
  7. Seems like just yesterday I was letting everybody know about Skyfall's incoming explosion weeks in advance. Not sure how to feel about this one yet beyond that'll open to 100m+.
  8. No they won't. Looks like a job for Batman y Superman.
  9. Opening Weekend/Domestic Total/World Wide Total 1. Batman V Superman: 240m/650m/1.6b 2. Finding Dory: 125m/445m/1.2b 3. Independence Day: Resurgence: 170/410/1.3b 4. Suicide Squad: 150/400/1b 5. Civil War: 150/375/1.1b 6. Rogue One: 85/290/950m 7. Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them: 90/270/1b 8. X-men: 115/250/750m 9. Moana: 70/240/900m 10. Ghostbusters: 75/225m/500m Way too early, but whatever.
  10. Yeah this looks pretty good though still not sure how it is going to do. As a holiday release I think it would have played stronger, August is tough to call.
