  1. Definitely not Ritchie's best but entertaining nevertheless. If you're looking for a movie about super attractive people mowing down Nazis that doesn't really think too deeply you'll love this one. Also some good chemistry among the leads. It does want to copy Inglourious Basterds but it's obviously not as good.
  2. Won't it have trouble getting to 80m+ because of Easter Sunday? I think Mario had an almost 40% drop on Easter Sunday last year.
  3. Big number for GxK. Honestly surprised too, I figured GvK had the novelty of seeing the two fight each other, but the trailers for GxK were kind of lacking a similar hook to me. Turns out GA just wants monster movies.
  4. The human characters are somehow a bit worse than the last movie (to be fair to the cast the script is just bad) but feels like they aren't as prominent at least. Kong is the anchor of the movie and the star of the show. Godzilla is more like a sidekick and isn't as featured as the trailer suggests. Great visuals and fights once it finally gets going. Forgettable soundtrack besides one moment. I think the last movie was probably better executed, but GxK is still entertaining for any Titan fans.
  5. I'm pretty the song was kind of tongue in cheek anyways since it was being sung by a children's choir at a funeral.
  6. Regardless of how the trailers look, In George Miller We Trust. He has an eye for how action is executed even in something like Babe 2.
  7. Great teaser, facehuggers chasing me down a hallway is definitely nightmare fuel. Reminded me of Alien: Isolation. Also why name it Romulus if there isn't any Romulans in the trailer? Disappointing.
  8. Batman -53%, Creed 3 was -54% from their weeks, though I guess it doesn't really add up since I think there's still spring break in some places this week.
  9. 4.4 would mean a 16% drop for Dune 2 from Tuesday, 33% drop from last week.
  10. 4.8 would mean a 34% decrease from last Monday. That's pretty great.
  11. Pretty good number. -68% drop from Sunday would pretty much match Batman and Logan.
  12. I can't believe it took so long for Nolan to get an Oscar. At one point I was convinced the committee hated him.
  13. I really like this previous winner homage format they have this year for all the nominees.
  14. 20 Days in Mariupol definitely deserved to win, it was one of the most harrowing things I've ever watched.
  15. Dune 2 with 19.75 is a 60% increase from Friday. If we do Batman comps it'll probably do near 46m. I think we might see a slightly better Sunday drop than Batman though.
  16. Just realized KFP4 would become Dreamworks Animation's highest opening since Madagascar 3 in 2012 with 60m.
  17. Panda 4 also has a smaller budget than the earlier entries so it will easily make a profit. Only family movie around since Xmas.
  18. Okay I definitely like 6.5 more than 6. Very good Wednesday number. Thursday might stay flat.
