Middle one - path to nowhere.
Straddling the pole?

Frozen has a fantastic chance at pulling off a win this coming weekend, especially if Paranormal Activity bombs.
Plus, a 20m+ weekend seems like a lock
If I can add right that puts Frozen real close to 300m by Sunday...

Rth better be true!! Nikki can stay flopping. That's a great number for Frozen!
Hmmm.... Nikki or Rth....
Guess which path is Nikki?
-
Usually that is true, but not when others insult you.
Life is too short to worry about what other people think about you. Ignore them and move on.

So, Blankments, I would love to have a bet with you, if you are brave enough.
Bets in which members have to leave ( even temporary ) are stupid and IMO not in the best interests of the forum.

We have literally no clue what its 3D share was this weekend. No 3d share on OW was ever reported. Some animated movies have been close to 40% this year, others close to 30. If Frozen was closer to 40 then 25% this weekend would be realistic.
It's really not that hard to figure out. Go to fandango for a major market and check.
Denver had 2 3d showings today. That 2 total... not 2%
Find me 1 major market that had even 5% before posting such crap such as 40%.

Last I checked 3D prices are on average a good $3 more than regular. Assuming that, a 25% share would be around 7.5m of its gross this weekend, $21.5m not in 3d. $7.5m divided by $11.05 (the average ticket price +3D) is around 678,000 tickets. That times the average ticket price is around $5.5m+$21.5m is 27m. Right around TLK's 5th weekend.
Do you read any of the other posts? Frozen does not have a 25% 3D share on its 5th weekend.
-
Don't forget 3d inflation though. If it had at least a 25% 3D share this weekend, which is reasonable to say, it wouldn't make the top 10.
Frozen has 2 3D showings in Denver this weekend.
It lost most of its 3D showings when DoS opened. Lost the rest of them around Christmas

I still think it's much too early to be saying it's going to make 380 million plus as that is highly unlikely. That's assuming that it continues to hold even better than Tangled after the holidays. While I suppose it's possible it's really unlikely it'll go that high. 300 million is locked, 350 million could be a possibility. That's what I see at the moment
Yes... in Box Office reality.
However all the over estimations have been coming true so far...
Tonight I was bored so I spent some time browsing twitter, youtube comments and non-disney forums reading peoples opinions of Frozen.
It is really amazing the breadth and depth this movie has penetrated.

I see that we're talking in gifs now
What else is their to do while we wait for Rth?

I'll be seeing it. Just haven't had a chance to go the movies.
Same here.

I don't even need to download it, I've got the screener.
You can put it in the mail to me Monday

I will blame all of you if Frozen does not beat DoS this weekend.

Seems like it doesn't need my help. Should I download it?

Might be time for an intervention.
How can so many members of a forum dedicated to watching and analyzing movie not see the movie that has had the most amazing run since TA?

Lego is mostly CG with a bit of stop motion. There's no way they could of made that film purely with Lego figures.
My understanding that it was stop motion and CG was only used for the facial expressions.

You are a great father.
Sometimes you have to shelter your children from the harshness ( and lousiness ) of the world.

Nut Job will only be competition for those who are planning to see Frozen the 12th time
My 11 year old has already asked to see this and already told he'll have to wait for the DVD.
Legos will be the only thing to stop Frozen.

Here's where we should be looking at, all time smallest drops 3000+ theaters. Record held by Cheaper By The Dozen with a 55% increase due to christmas. chance Frozen could best it. Not sure if these are just second weekend drops though.
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/alltime/weekends/smallestdrops.htm?page=DROP3000&p=.htm
Frozen also had yesterdays highest avg per theater.
And hasn't had any 3D screen around here for several weeks.

Jeez guys, all I'm saying is keep in mind its heavily boosted by the Christmas weekend. Its fourth weekend only ranked 20th.
Box office in general is heavily boosted during Christmas. I don't need to be here 5 years to know that.
However... a million films are also released during Christmas to try to get a piece of the pie.
Good films get a good boost.
Great films get a great boost.
Frozen is a great film.
