  1. Yeah great movie. I love movies that have political messages and themes and manage to be entertaining at the same time . Gene Hackman is seriously one of the best "presences" in the history of cinema , the guy dominates every movie he is in , even when he doesn't have the leading role . He is especially great in this one , the scene at the barbershop with the deputy is one of the most satisfying scenes in any movie .

  2. Depp is my favourite actor of the last 20 years and i respect that he succeded by taking roles that demanded him looking ugly and weird (instead of playing the prety boy like some other actors of his generation) but i think that dark shadows was the last straw . Both him and Tim Burton should have showed more respect to the character of Barnaba Collins and i am glad that it flopped at the B.O.He should stick to Jack Sparrow , when it comes to weird roles .

  3. Actually the western movies were very popular in Europe in the sixties , the spaghetti westerns that is , which are vastly superior than the american ones anyway (and not just the Leone films, there's a ton of kick ass spaghetti westerns) . It's these films that tatarantino is trying to emulate with Django (and he did that with inglorious basterds too, even though this wan't a western )

  4. Is this a serious question?Star Wars OTStar Wars PT*A mile and a half away*Toy StoryLord of the RingsJason BourneIndiana JonesSpidermanThe GodfatherPirates of the Caribbean*Beyond the distant horizon*Back to the Future (III ruined it)The Matrix (Again, Revolutions ruined it)The Terminator (Rise of the Machines was a disgrace to cinema)X-Men (The hell is wrong with all these third installments not living up to the previous two?)Blade (What the hell were they thinking making Trinity again?)

Here's something ...shocking......many people hate the SW trilogies !!!! Who would have thought that right ?
  5. I was hyped for this movie and it turned out to be silliness personified . They took every horror movie cliche ( characters acting like retards ,people being killed ,one by one in the most predictable order ) and magnified it . The pseudo intellectually monologues were laughable , the story non- existent and the unbelievabilty of the whole thing was off the charts . Seriously, when these morons decided to jump off the cliff and the wolves were down there expecting them was the last straw for me .The cinematography was great though and so was the sound and watching it in the privacy of my room with 5.1 speakers could haven something.....if only the story wasn't that stupid. A bad exploitation movie in disguise...It made me appreciate Carpenter's the thing even more.
