Talk about ouch. 69% drop for TR. it's just about tied with Battleship after its second weekend and at the rate it's dropping, it'll end up with less at the end of its run.

Thanks Guilty of this as well. I think I had my original guess at 35M then as the weeks went by enthusiasm got the better of me. . guess I should have remained more grounded. More like a spin off. I should be happy with the OW number. I just wanted it to perform somewhere between Identity and Supremacy. Now hoping to see the final tally to be in that range but with EX2 coming out next week, it'll take a hit.

The Olympic Ceremony definitely hit the BO. NBC averaged almost 27M viewers in the 18-49 demo for the night. But a 2M drop for BL estimate. Is a 5% difference from estimates common?

Damn. Wanted TR to end comfortably higher than Battleship at least. At this rate, I think it'll just match it at best.

I guess a drop in the low 50s is too much to ask for BL especially with the mixed WOM

Agree and disagree.The last shot But the whole ending for BI felt like it wrapped up the movie's story. BL didn't do it as well.

B/B+A tale of two movies. The first 30 minutes was pretty boring. I guess they had to have a way to introduce this into the whole Bourne Universe, but I think they tried too hard in the first part. Too much mythology in such a short time. It should have been spread out in the movie.The remaining part was a good action movie. Different from the previous Bourne movies. Less frenetic and energetic, but more slick and just as fun. The good:1. Renner, Weisz were great and thought they showed some real chemistry as the movie progressed.2. Edward Norton is a solid sin-eater type enemy.3. When there was action, it was exciting. Again, different from the previous trilogy but good.The bad:1. The first part of the movie was definitely too slow.2. A lot of talk for an action movie. And the setup to the action sequences got too long. The whole psychiatrist/assassin talking scene just dragged. Why?3. Super enemies weren't too super.

Well at least BL went up. :)Saw the late showing last night and I can see why there would be some very mixed reactions from critics and audiences. I thought that there was a good amount of action/suspense but it was unevenly spread out. And there were scenes that definitely were too long. Renner was great as Aaron Cross and Weisz did a pretty good job as well as Shearing.

To not have a big budget movie centered around Colin Farrell? :)Seriously though he's a decent actor IMO. He just needs to not be THE star. Or at least lead I smaller movies.

I aways thought the most vocal are usually usually people who hate the movie to begin with. Only way to drown them out is if a lot of people really love the movie. With WOM being so mixed, then the most negative should stand out. This is sounding like Prometheus again. I just want the legs to be better!

Marketing for the movie really kicked into gear during the olympics. It seemed like every other movie spot was for BL. And I'm pretty sure they account for the cost of the advertisement as either direct transfer between divisions. Or it will be accounted as opportunity cost of the ad spot was given for free. Still means lost revenue/added cost one way or another.

Oh yeah. Missed having the forums on my phone. And now that this crazy Friday work is done. Sitting in one of my favorite sushi bars with a big glass of beer and catching up! And again great news for Bourne! Was hoping this would have a good OW. Hoping now for some good legs

Finally back up! It was wierd not having the forum to check on for the past 2 days. Great to see Bourne to a solid start. I was a little worried for a whole with all the negative reviews and WOM. Well it still has them but there's at least some solid positive reviews. Was pumped when saw RT score of 60+. Then it kept on coming down again. LOLHeh oh well.

A solid B. It's good, easy to watch and fast.Don't go in expecting some deep thoughtful movie about identity or what makes you, you. Nor does it ever try to sell itself as such. Just take it as it should be, a solid sci-fi action/chase movie. If you've watched the original, this movie basically has the same plot, just different setting, however I wish they did change it up a bit. Les knows how to do action sequences. The fight scenes and chase scenes were very well done. At least the action sequences were a lot better than the nonsensical mess in Battleship (a movie which unfortunately TR has been compared to). The look of the movie is definitely a lot better than the original, but that is expected as well. The pace is pretty fast. At least I wasn't looking at my watch to see how long I've been sitting there like some movies. The characters are standard but Kate and Jessica are damn hot. Kate is a damn good bad-ass. It's also predictable even if you haven't seen the original.Some of the chase scenes can get too long and I wish they tried to have more head games as far as Colin's character questioning his reality. But again, I didn't go in with those expectations. It's a solid movie, it's just too bad it won't do well in the BO.

So around a jump in the 40% range? Looks like its making up for some lost ground.
