  1. Yeah I talked to a few fans about the trailer while waiting in the lines but I didn't go asking everyone I met. I kind of overheard a couple of conversations. Generally they loved the trailer, no surprise. But I got the feeling that overall the opinion was TFA better. But of course it's just the group of people that I was around or met. Some complained that there was not enough of the newer characters. But were glad to hear Luke speak. And that last part, people agreed it was a jaw dropper but kind of anxious... But the poster reaction was stronger, almost universal. The poster is freaking awesome. Other attendees wanted them bad.
  2. Yeah I didn't but there were 2 SW fans who really got in his way for autograph. And a couple trailing just for pictures. Couple of police moved them aside. But he did take a photo with a kid and his mom before the people mover. Nah. But someone asked who that was and someone said "The Joker!" And bumped into Mark Ellis from the Collider crew. Didn't see the rest of the Collider crew until they boarded the plane to LA
  3. And Mark Hamill is going to the same departure terminal. Just saw him getting on the people mover
  4. Signing off from the convention. Overall an amazing experience. It's quite different to be surrounded by people who are fans of Star Wars. And it's an eye opener to realize just how passionate some are about it. I kid you not someone basically booked a tattoo artists' whole time at the convention to have specific work done on his back. And it's amazing to see multiple generations of families coming here. I met a father and daughter while waiting in line at 5 in the morning to get into The Last Jedi panel. The daughter became a Forrest Whitaker fan because of Rogue One. She knew voice actors for Clone Wars and Rogue One. And they were gonna do it again on Saturday morning! I've met people from all over the place that came specifically for Celebration (but of course staying longer for vacation). From Brazil, Australia, a lot of Japanese. Panels were a blast. I just wish I had more time but back to reality. I am going to try again in 2019.
  5. I should check the Star Wars sub forum more often. Rebels is such a great show. Awesome trailer. And the first episode of Season 4 was quite good as well. But I think I liked Season 3 opener a little more.
  6. Sorry guys I was looking for extras. People were literally asking other attendees if they were selling their poster. But yesterday there were a few extra Leia/Carrie Fisher posters that were given so I was trying to hunt some TLJ posters. No luck...
  7. Heh already rolled up in my poster tube. Damn the line for the poster protectors just blew up. Great Making of Rogue One panel. Too bad it was shortened because of technical problems. But man seeing Jyn Erso playing pong on the screen on the transmission panel. And the K2SO Firefly mashup. Hysterical.
  8. On the way down and I'm not alone. Seeing a lot of people heading in the same direction
  9. Yeah I've decided to give it a shot in the morning. Someone from Information said that there were people who came in the early morning that got into the overflow stages. And with two popular panels competing I may have a chance. I guess I'll ask again when I get there at 5.
  10. First day ending in shopping at Celebration Store. Overall good day. The bad: Shocked at the morning line. Cell data overwhelmed because everyone in line was trying to catch the Anniversary panel. Lines lines lines The good: Meeting other Star Wars fans makes up for all the above. Billie Dee panel was fun. Rogue One music panel was damn informative. Great discussion. So much cosplay. I'm not very encouraged about TLJ panel from what I discussed with people who actually got into the 40 year celebration. However they all claim, for themselves, staying overnight was worth it. But I'm slightly optimistic because some who went said that they think the Mark Hammil tribute could compete. Who knows.. I'm going to take a look at the overnight queue and make up my mind later tonight.
  11. I got it through the mail. But yeah that line wrapped around the convention center almost twice. Ridiculous Cant imagine Friday and Saturday. But tomorrow I'm setting my alarm for 4:30AM to try at least get into the Overflow Stages for the TLJ panel. Going into see Bikly Dee now. One of the few available then into Rogue One music.
  12. Lol the line in is literally a mile long. At least. It's wrapping into the road
  13. Well shit. Woke up at 8:30 because I was hanging out at the hotel bar with some SW fans From the Bay Area. Anyway it's still only first day so going to try get a feel of the convention.
  14. Pretty amazing but c'mon a lot of Filipinos love music.
  15. Easter Break is on. According to Deadline/Comscore ~28% of K-12.
  16. Sorry don't see 500 being dead for BatB. Cinderella, granted it was its third weekend, in the same point in time in respect to Easter made 17M. In the next 2 weeks it made about 31M. And this was going against F7. If BatB just follows that it should make another 45M or so which puts it around 477 after weekend 6. If BatB falls well below that then yeah 500 is likely in trouble. But until then it's still in the table imo.
  17. Expecting BatB to behave like its second weekend where there were roughly the same K-12 out of school and no major new competition. Friday 6.8-7 (+115-120%) Sat. 10.9-11.5 (+60-65%) Sun 7.6-8.6 (-25-30%) 25.3-27.1 BB should have a bigger Friday jump since it's geared more to kids but it'll still be muted as compared to normal schooldays.
