This is getting ridiculous, why would SOny change directors just because the movie might be disappointing BO wise in the US (not overseas)?!Movie has good WOM, it is well reviewed (considering that loads of reviews just say "this is a reboot and therefore we dont give a shit"), it makes no sense, I'll bet my ass that Webb is returning, once the movie reaches 800-900 million worldwide.

It'll certainly be very interesting to see how much TASM does in the end, and especially how TDKR will do next, and the other superhero movies to come.I still think that Thor 2, Cap America 2, etc, will be much bigger thanks to The Avengers, but it may turn out to be wrong, maybe The Avengers was a one time thing.

I think that even if the movie would do 200 M minimum (which we agree will be disappointing, even though it'll be a hit overseas), it's pretty obvious that this year is just jammed superhero wise.The Avengers was released barely 2 months and so ago and was an absolute monster, and then there's TASM, and then there's TDKR in 2 weeks, it's just too much, not that I'll complain, I'm thrilled, but people might be getting bored or less enthusiastic.And Spidey 3 disappointed, now I have no idea what its cinemascore was or how the audience reacted to it, but it doesnt seem like WOM was great on this one,, and God knows it's hard to come after this.

France disappointing as it was throughout the year. Just check out Ice Age 4's numbers and you'll see what I'm talking about, sequels make less and less money here when it's supposed to be the opposite overseas.

Saying that TASM is shit is borderline ignorance. Tastes differ, but something like this can not be tolerated.Because even if you dont like a movie, there are just elements that are there and inherently good no matter what you think about it. And even when not liking it, there are so many elements in TASM that make it at the very least a good film (and I think it is bloody fantastic).No need to tell me that I can"t dictate what one has to think about the movie, I stand by my position and say this is just unnecessary trolling.

There's too much focus on presales, as if it's actually a proof of anything, nobody could predict that The Avengers would do this much OW domestic, 50 more million than THG, wait and see guys.

Well, I mean, it's absurd, because if you consider pre sales, then TASM would bomb in a lot of places, and that just isn't possible, there just isn't as much excitement as TDKR or TA, doesnt mean it will bomb just because presales aren't great.
