  1. Excited for the official announcement of 5 a few months back. I wonder how it'll turn out under Disney? If The Force Awakens is any indicator it's in good hands.
  2. Slightly off-topic but R.I.P. to Douglas Slocombe, the director of photography on the first three movies. At 103 years old he had a long and fulfilled life, and captured some of the most striking imagery ever seen on film with his work on the original three Indy films.
  3. Still here a year later. It'll be interesting to see when people compare this movie and the reboot when the latter is out this Summer. I bet GB2 wil enjoy a resurgence of respect and appreciation when the reboot is out which is about the sole thing about the reboot I look forward to.
  4. Last Crusade is arguably more cartoony and campy in a lot of ways. There's the revolving fireplace and hidden staircase gags, the "Scottish Lord" disguise, the pen ink in the eye, Brody's sudden buffoonery, etc. and for all of the complaining people have for the raft stunt in TOD or the fridge in KOTCS, they give a free pass to equally unbelievable things like the plane in the tunnel, the centuries-old Grail Knight and the fact the prologue with Young Indy shows him getting the fedora, whip (and knowledge how to use it), chin scar, fear of snakes and love of adventure all in the same afternoon. And let's not forget how he escapes from a moving train using a magic box he presumably had no clue how to use before.
  5. Going by how awesome Harrison did in The Force Awakens, I got no doubt he can do Indy a final time.
  6. was kinda tired when I wrote that. I'm just really happy to hear we're likely to get a new one somewhere down the line.
  7. A fifth movie was confirmed pretty recently. Should be interesting to track the latest on it.
  8. Some potentially HUGE news: apparently Spielberg is interested in directing the reboot. Personally I'd like to see one final entry with Ford before he retires the role for good.
  9. News is out that Chris Pratt is being eyed as a potential new actor for Indy in a reboot. He could work as a similar character but it'll be so hard to warm up to a new actor in the role. I think Ford has it in him for at least one final go.
  10. Disney CEO confirms more Indy movies. Looks like we could have some new Indy movies to bring into this in a few more years.
  11. Harrison Ford's appearance on Young Indy. Thought I'd share this with the fans here. It's been so long since I watched the Young Indy show and almost forgot Harrison guest-starred in this episode.
  12. Pointless I know, but I love that scene and felt like posting it Classic moment from the first movie and all the more notable considering it wasn't even scripted like that.
  13. Eh, personally I feel The Last Crusade was the weakest (and yes, I preferred Crystal Skull). I still like it but it retreading Raiders so much and the elevated levels of slapstick hurt it for me. Plus it feels so much like a toned down version of Raiders to me.
  14. I like those ideas a lot and think they'd work for the final film. The Bermuda Triangle as Indy's final quest could be awesome with the right script.
  15. It's been so long since I last watched the SW prequels.
