    Same here, usually happens two days before release, but I have seen some movies getting their last push the day before release. Not uncommon.

    That makes a lot of sense and is the main reason why American centric comedies usually have a hard time overseas (different culture and hard to translate slang and puns).

    Thor just proved that a sequel to a badly received movie can increase. This is the best year for CBM, let's hope the trend continues with JL.

    Going back for a second viewing of Thor. Only 11 days until JL and 39 for SW. Best fall/winter ever.

    In French, the days all refer to astral objects. Wednesday is Mercury day and Thursday is Jupiter day. Monday and Sunday are similar with moon and sun. Tuesday is Mars, Friday is Venus and Saturday is Satrun.

    Hmm I kinda agree with that. Looking at my data, it seems that DC are grossing higher per showtimes than MCU. It might also be that MCU is more popular where I live and requires more shows than DC. The next few weeks are going to be very intense for BO.

    At this point, I can't see Thor just barely passing WW's OW. With these reviews and the amount of showtimes in my area, this is most likely opening either around or higher than SMH.

    This was okay. Chaos, Destruction and Butler! The romance between Butler and the German chick was forced, but between his brother and the secret service agent was fine. The politics was cliché and very lazy. The CGI was good and fulfilled its purpose.

    Very early reports from Birmingham AL. Thursday preview showtimes : 42 - 0 sellout at the moment Friday showtimes : 73 - 0 sellout At the end of their first day of presales, TFA had 4 sellouts out of 54 showings and Rogue One had 2 sellouts out of 39 showings. TFA started 58 days before release, while R1 started only 16 days before release. TLJ is 65 days before release. I will have a better comparison at the end of the day.

    Whedon is great. Loved both Avengers movie regardless of where the bandwagon goes. I also hope Snyder is not done with DCEU as Watchmen is one of my favorite CBM ever.

    yep 2015 was a rollercoaster of a year for us Box Office enthusiasts with Avengers, Jurassic World and Star Wars.
