  2. that sucks anyone got any info on calgary imax?
  3. Any Canadians know what the best TRUE Imax theater is in Calgary and also Vancouver ( is it canada place?). One with the biggest screen would be nice:) Will be going there for a 2 week trip in May and would like to catch Star Trek 2 sometime.
  4. Return of the king extended edition- 263 minutes...and loved every minute of it
  5. really happy for Jennifer and Anne. Both deserving, though i still have SLP to watch yet
  6. its been a long time since I've read that issue. Was in the disassembled run wasn't it? Well i guess rune king and Odin force versions of Thor can both wish people out of existence as they both have on occasion. though i suspect rune King thor may have been slightly more powerful than Odin force thor. Odin force was a in the form of a boy guiding him through that issue..and i'm pretty sure he merged with him. Would have been good to see the power level increase. A good battle would be Rune king Thor with the Odin force versus Chaos War Super skyfather Hercules!
  7. rune King thor is extremely powerful...but i was just talking about the power OF gives to an individual. Odin (who is powered by the odin force) resurrected Hulk and then also banished him to the other side of the galaxy or universe. Correct me if i'm wrong but did Thor possess rune power with the OF? i recall OF taking the form of a child while he was rune powered or something.
  8. If i recall correctly he got the OF in the 70's. His most prominent use of Of was during the reigning storyline, where he really just killed everyone..including hulk. That was issue 68 onwards from 2004 i think. He had it recently too in the siege storyline....but they limited his use of OF so as not to basically end things quickly:)
  9. boy i would love if marvel did the planet hulk story line But the question is...do they really need to? They already have enough villains in their gallery to choose from. I was expecting ultron's story line after thanos. but if they can pull this off, hats off to them. the WORLDBREAKER! woot woot
  10. The step on eastern seaboard thing was in the final issue of world war hulk (i think) To use the OF or any sort of power source would drain an individual. It was shown in one issue (can't recall which one) that the Odin force was draining out Thor. Also being having the OF in you doesn't mean everything you do is OF level. It needs to be tapped into, which further proves why it cant be used continuously as it would drain out Thor. But i don't think that would be much of an issue. Hulk can take a severe beat down. He was able to hold together a planet splitting. Shows you how strong he is and how much pain he can take. But it would be the other powers that the Odin force would give to Thor that would really end this battle quickly. When you can think someone out of existence and then bring them back to life with a thought; shows you have some serious mojo:)
  11. Jurassic park and independence day were the best pop corn movies of the 90's
  12. that thread was directed at people like you to understand what aspects of the movie you hated. And to be honest with all the arguments you guys put forward, 90% of them were weak and pathetic.
  13. now that would be interesting. I'll have to give the title to OF thor. To have the odin force is to be an all-father. We saw Zeus beat the shit out of hulk (granted he wasnt really angry at the time) recently so OF thor would really own him. He could beat hulk senseless before he could enrage to the level we saw in world war hulk at the end where he nearly destroyed the eastern seaboard just by taking a step. If he gave hulk time to get there though it could be possible to actually knock out OF thor as the odinforce would drain out thor making him weaker. so shorter the fight...OF Thor Longer the fight...WWH..Maybe
  14. It is true. Thor as his maximum power is when he is using odin force. But that force is not a part of him. Its for whoever is ruler of asgard. Hulk is the worldbreaker. literally. He was about to destroy the planet because he lost it and told stark to use the super ray to stop him in world war hulk. The only person who could have taken on Hulk was Sentry (power of a million exploding suns...wtf does that even mean lool). they battled and exhausted all their power and strength until they turned back to their depowered states and banner gave him a knock out punch and hulked up again. So hulk was last man standing there. I agree with you though marvel has made Hulk invulnerable to everyone now. Though he did get a good hard beating by zeus recently. Thor is my favourite but i will give credit to hulk. He is the strongest one there is. This whole power level mess really gets confusing though. In world war hulk dr strange said ghost rider has near limitless power and could take hulk out of the equation if he wanted to. Then there is Silver surfer who could really just disentegrate hulk but he always gets smacked around with his own board. so who to pick really?
  15. it doesnt have a bad reputation on this site. Its just the continuous posts by the same people in every thread that ridicule the movie.
  16. Yh I'm hoping to try out the science museum next time. I know they usually show documentaries though. All the stuff bfi used to show. If man of steel is shown there I will definitely try it out. Is the legroom better coolio? May see star strek 2 in an imax cinema in Canada if I decide to go in May.
  17. Bfi imax waterloo have the worst cinema seats I have ever sat in. There is absolutely no leg room. U have to sit in an upright position with your legs together. Really hard to enjoy a long movie when you have to keep shuffling your legs.
  18. Just to point out. Its noticeable that alot of people here and many other forums are more into the 'blockbusters' rather than smaller movies. Not to say argo/django unchained arent great (havent seen them yet). Its just the the bigger movies are more memorable for most due to the anticipationand hence why people vote for Avengers/TDKR and so on as best of the year.
