I dont think i can look at Will Smith the same ever again. he definitely needs to be expelled from the academy for a few years at the very least. It was disturbing to see that. I sympathise with his reasoning. I understand the media attention he has had the last few years about his 'open' marriage or whatever and the psychological impact it would have had on his mind. So the need to defend his wifes honour or whatever, I get it. But this was inexcusable. Physical assault on live tv against someone you have known for decades? unbelievable. He isn't a stranger to you. You also come from comedic background. You laughed too. Don't get angry after the fact buddy. wasn't even that good a joke. I'm not a huge fan of Chris Rock. He is a hit or a miss to me sometimes but he was very dignified in his response. I wouldn't have been able to carry on and would have walked of stage.
I understand there are various viewpoints so I don't claim to think Chris Rock was in the right. I just don't think a person should be assaulted live on stage when the best thing to have done was not laugh at the joke. That would have hurt more to Chris and hurt his ego. I'm just wondering if this may become a trend of going up to comedians and attacking them. I don't know. Just my two cents.

I was hoping they would recast his role as the film was taking so long to get going. He is just not Barry Allen. Doesn't act or look the part in the slightest. Really pisses me off knowing he is in that suit. His face and head shape is all wrong for that helmet. The worst major superhero casting imo.

I dont see what the problem is. Solid numbers for a reboot. The sequel will for sure be higher. Its just how it is. SM homecoming had a lower 100+ ow weekend too.
This will be aiming for 350m+ dom gross.

yeah not saying its bad a thing. I'm happy with the ending. I just wanted the stakes to be higher and the action to be more slick. Basically how Trinity at the end manhandled the analyst. that was the type of fighting that was needed. Boundaries were not pushed. Choreography seemed lazy. Instead we had Neo in his PJs for the whole film.

Its just a love story. Action was underwhelming. I wouldn't say its bad bad but its nothing wow. It gave the fans an ending that the characters needed in revolutions. If the action had been more Matrix like and had some actual stakes this would have been better received. Pity. Hope it makes some money but HBO Max has killed it.

well 800 is a given. I think Endgame total will be going down if the second weekend is higher than 100. If it stays flat at 100 will be looking at 835. This all depends on if theaters don't closedown or something. I don't know the situation in the states.

This is for sure a 260+ weekend. Finally After 14 years Spiderman is opening weekend boxoffice King again. Yes yes endgame is higher but that was a collective movie. It also had Spidey in it too.

I recall Sony saying they will be using Spiderman for their own universe no? I think it will be Andrew Garfield with Tom Hardy's Venom as he is the only one who hasn't fought an alien.

really enjoyed it. Its sad cos i feel this was a 200+ opening weekend if we were in normal times. It certainly would deserve it. 120-140 opening I feel

well, miles better than Joss Whedons movie. Still feel there is no chemistry between the characters. They all just seemed wooden and dreary. Ezra is such a miscast. His acting was cringe and I just cant understand why he wasn't recast for the solo movie. Would have been nice to know why Supes chose the black costume. How did Darkseid forget Earth had the anti-life equation?? 4 hours and still a lot of holes. As for the action...I cant understand why that wasn't included in its entirety in Josstice League. Was much better.
Anyways, it was good. Not great.

I enjoyed the movie because of Kano. But why not stay true to the actual canon? Inventing Cole was lame and pointless when you have tonnes of other characters to choose from. The movie needed more work in the story and editing department. Didnt feel very gelled together. Scorpion and sub zero felt a bit of a downer after the build up because it had Cole in the fight too. Some great moments and laughs but also some things that potentially can ruin this franchise. Hoping sequel improves on the flaws and actually has the damn tournament.

this was weird. How to do you from greatness to mediocre? WB, that's how. My word this was just boring. The action was so lazy and shite. Nothing stood out except maybe Gal Gadot improving as an actress. Very disappointed. Its not a wholly bad movie but it is just ...meh.

Saw it yesterday in BFI IMAX.
I enjoyed it but I didn't understand shit! I probably heard about 40% of the dialogue. Just couldn't make out anything. It was frustrating in the beginning but then I just said screw it, just watch the image instead. Towards the end it sort of made sense but after watching it I googled what it was about. Finally understand it and can't believe I missed so much. I will be watching this again with subtitles. Because the concept is unique and the film is well made. The action was incredible and Nolans directing will always be amazing. But damn he needs to get new sound mixers. It was soooo bad. I know I saw it in IMAX and so the sound would be even louder than conventional cinemas but this is unforgivable. Since Bane every movie he has made had incomprehensible dialogue at times. But this one was just throughout the whole thing. I know I will enjoy it more with a subtitled viewing but it was upsetting to watch a movie and not understand most of it.
Having said that the movie was just so well done not to enjoy it. Was a B- when the movie ended but once I read the story online I give it a B. I am sure with repeat viewings it will go up.

very bad writing. Got final episode to watch but it has been quite cringe at times. Episode 5 was the best but even that had its issues.
