  6. Good good. More people need to see this gem. I cried too.
  7. I agree except for The Iron Giant. You NEED to see that movie ASAP. It's directed by Brad Bird, the same person who directed The incredibles and Ratatouille. But it's more than just that. The Iron Giant is one of the most powerful and beautiful superhero and friendship movies ever made, and it's animated in 2D! Please do yourself a favor and watch it.
  8. Why is Germany such a weak box office market relatively? Do folks not like movies over there?
  9. Guys, these two European animations coming out this year look AMAZING! The one to the right is by the same studio that made The Secret of Kells and Song of the Sea!

  11. Well that was powerful...and depressing, so very, very depressing. It's worth it though because this is QUALITY movie-making. You know a movie is good when you don't want it to be over even after over two emotionally PAINFUL hours. Btw I really wanted to give the main character a hug throughout the length of the film. A for sure
  12. It was pretty underwhelming. None of the jokes had me laughing out loud, and the story was kind of cheesy and too simple. It is still by no means a bad movie. But like others said, it cannot compare to The Lego Movie and how good it was. Also, I don't get the complaints about Batgirl. She was a much-needed "serious-relief" in a massive mess of jokes. B-
  13. First time I needed actual tissues after a film. I couldn't stop the tears. Still need to watch a few more movies from 2016, but this is my favorite so far. A+

  17. I still can't get over The Lego Movie not winning the Oscar OR EVEN BEING NOMINATED. That was just a shocker for me, and I still can't understand it.

  19. So many people are gonna be disappointed when they finally watch La La Land. "THIS is what won all those award???"
  20. I'm tired of seeing Meryl Streep getting praised every single year...She's good, but c'mon enough is enough.
  21. Song of the Sea (2014) The Red Turtle (2017) The Secret of NIMH (1982) The Land Before Time (1988) Paprika (2006)
  22. I feel you, it does look meh, but I saw The Red Turtle and it was just fantastic! Coco and Lego Batman look promising too. There will probably be at least 1 other American movie in the list that will exceed our expectations, maybe The Star, Lego Ninjago, Captain Underpants, or Ferdinand since we pretty much haven't seen anything from those yet, so have some faith! Europeans are also making great animations these years, and the studio behind The Secret of the Kells and Song of the Sea (I LOVE that movie) is releasing a new film this year called The Breadwinner. I just know it will be great!
