How about we acknowledge the speech that Ruben Blades gives Michael Fassbender by phone at the end of The Counselor was painfully, horrifically and hilariously bad?
Sooooo bad.
That would be horrifying to me as a cbm fan. I would have to comfort myself with the following years being chock full of movies I thought I would never get with characters I've liked for decades.
Is that like fatigue?
I disagree with the argument for more RDJ presence. He's been great in every way for the franchise(s).
Disney is looking long term. Unlike Sony, they don't need to milk a character to death. Captain Marvel, Black Panther and Dr. Strange don't have to be huge. People can still buy IM cups and hats in 2021. It's not a disaster if the replacement films are down Dom, but making it up internationally.
Dark Jedi is spot on with the UK analogy.
I was going to use the example of people taunting Alabama because they haven't won the national title in the last five minutes.
I wish AOU had done better. I overpredicted it.
The money that Disney will make is still unreal. Avengers merchandise is gigantic with kids.
People criticize the no-real danger aspect of these movies. The funny thing is that is true to the comics. Killing characters off or switching who wears a costume are temporary fixes that aren't mecessary on the movies.
Loss of interest. Fatigue.
Can the people arguing this is happening make clear what the bar is for future CBMs?
If CACW makes 300/900, is that a win for your argument? How important are Ant-Man and Deadpool to this?
