why would Snyder want to deal with Zaslav when he's getting all the monies from Netflix?

Hello y'all. Hope you guys had a good Thanksgiving week. I just wanted to share something that I produced and it was directed by our very own Jay Hollywood. A short 3 minute horror film. After waking from a nightmare, artist Scarlet is pursued by a malevolent figure eerily reminiscent of her latest drawing. If you can give it a watch (share, comment, like, etc.) and give it a grade on letterboxd, it would be greatly appreciated! I think the short film turned out excellent and I am very proud of it! https://letterboxd.com/film/the-drawing-2023/

WGA/SAGAFTRA Strike Discussion Thread | SAG Ratifies Contract

That's not how it works. AMPTP can't just say fuck it cause their productions will be shot down. What will happen is likely a week to a month more before a new negotiating committee meets with the AMPTP and they try to figure out a new deal that CAN pass. -
They all took a break to get out of their funk. Doctor Who had a 16 year break. Star Trek sorta had a 4 year break (between ending of Enterprise and the Star Trek reboot movie) but 7 year break between the final TNG movie and the reboot movie. There was an 8 year break between Batman & Robin and Batman Begins.

Video games are a very different product and they release bad video games all the time. Like ALL the time. Just look at Gollum or most Square Enix products. Nobody sets out to make a shitty movie. But hey we do have some users here who do set out to shit post. And that's how we get shit takes like "hollywood needs to learn from a completely different industry".

I mean SAG leadership is made up of actors, no? Actors are known for being a tad dramatic compared to writers -

It was never going to be that easy. But MAYBE it does show AMPTP is more willing to actually listen to what SAG is asking for and why now which would lead the road to a good deal for SAG. -

WGA revealed what they asked for in percentages from the start, what AMPTP offered, and AMPTP met them in the middle. That's how a compromise works and probably what the WGA expected to actually get from the start. WGA was never asking what SAG was largely because they knew they could never get it. Maybe SAG can. -

Sheridan knows it's a team sport. Some people call him power hungry. But he's a good man. Oh wait this isn't a Babylon 5 post. -

But writers can share it amongst themselves. So at least within the industry it will be very public secret. -

Some apply to new seasons, some are immediate, some based on the date. Depends on the term. -

Shouldn't the goal then of any service be to provide compelling enough content to take their attention away from their phone? -

Usually I'll only background noise a show with no real plot between episodes (like Cold Case) or one I've already seen and am pretty familiar with (so I can pay attention during my favorite bits). Even with Cold Case, if it's my first watch, it'll be more primary screen than not unless it's bad. I'm bad at multitasking lol. -

They are also very dumb because they don't realize how often they actually are the primary screen.
