  1. Don't ever listen to people saying somebody's a lock to win until it's at the very least the end of December. People said Oprah was a lock to win supporting, and look what happened there.
  2. Watch this and realize how glorious of an end this will be to the experiment.
  3. Y'all know y'all want to force Blankments to see one last religious film.
  4. Let's pick Saving Christmas, torture poor Blanks.
  5. I think studios aren't realizing LEGO did so well because it was a good movie, not because it was based on toys.
  6. I'd disagree with that because both man of steel and the amazing Spidey 2 both recently got trashed pretty hard. Sure, there's some fanboys who pad the numbers a bit, but say even Dark World was almost rotten (which is fair because it's overall entertaining).
  7. Say 25% canada increase plus madagascar's 90% and that's 115% The number makes sense in that case sense cheap Tuesdays are in a few places in America now and Big Hero 6 is better liked than M2
  8. They're all populist movies, I'm pretty sure everyone here has seen at least 90 of them.

  10. People haven't seen Into the Woods yet?
  11. I think Interstellar has a strong enough vocal base that they can get him and Chastain in.
  12. His track wasn't really innovative, but it was a strong and unique track that stood out compared to others this year. However, I think Fury is the best I've heard this year so far, it blends better and he does some really things with it. Birdman's score is cool as well, being pretty much improvisational drums, with the flight scenes being symphony.
  13. I don't think it was particularly hard to recognize, it was foreshadowed pretty hard. When you first hear gravity you think it might be something weird, but I think it was around that same point as you where I was like, "This is going to tie into time travel somehow," and as soon as McConnoughey mentioned parents being ghosts I was like, "he's the ghost." However, the journey was so captivating that the way the last act was pulled off was mindboggling. I wasn't so amazed by what the actual content was, but at how well it was executed visually and it how it brought everything together. My mind was certainly more blown than any of Nolan's other movies.
  14. Fun fact, Frozen, Tangled, and Big Hero 6 all have an 89% on RT (Both Tangled and Big Hero 6 both have a top critic rating of 89% as well) Wreck-It Ralph is sadly at an 86% despite having a higher average rating than them all except Frozen (although it does have the highest Top Critic Average rating although its top critic percentage is the lowest)
  15. Maybe both could, there could be spillover both ways (adults took their kids to BH6 and now they go to Interstellar)
  16. 5.2m is a really strong Monday drop, especially from its opening weekend.
  17. McConnaughey deserves another nomination for Interstellar, he is so strong.
  18. I personally think Interstellar and Fury really deserve a nomination, easily the most memorable scores I have heard this year (followed by Birdman and Grand Budapest)
  19. LEGO is looking harder and harder to beat the longer this goes.
  20. Interstellar deserves the win, a couple of those sequences are mindblowingly beautiful. The award isn't best CGI, it's visual effects.
  21. One of the best sci-fi movies of all-time and one of my top 10 favorites
