I will say, you could probably just not put movies like A Matter of Faith and Left Behind on there and no body would be suspicious of anything.

Well I already have my first bomb with the Judge, I feel stupid because I almost went with Annabelle but I thought it was to risky so I went with the 'safer' option.

Typically marketing costs (unless they are absurdly high or it really underperforms on the latter) are covered through things like home video and merchandising if the movie just breaks even.

It's doing better than people expected, but for its budget it was a very modest opening. It's definitely not a total bomb, but isn't going to be a real hit either.

Holy Grail is hilarious and the best comedy of all time, way to low on this list.

I think people need to remember the academy has ever so slowly been progressing. They nearly awarded Gravity BP last year, and they gave movies like Wolf and Her a strong number of nods. I think Gone Girl should definitely be in.

Yeah, thing is Fury is a type of movie that needed strong reviews to get far with the awards. It'll probably be up for some tech ones though.

I realize I wasn't this movie's target audience, but wow I sat tapping my leg the entire time waiting to be able to leave. It's predictable, and I guess I can't totally bag it because it's alright for families, but there were a couple chuckles and that was about it (the audience was fairly silent as well).
