  1. Pompeii and Lego are close on Saturday, but Pompeii has the upper hand thx to weekdays, so it's likely to win.Peabody commercials are kinda silly for my taste, maybe Lego still has a shot at 10m mark, although exchange rate is not helping, so it's unlikely.
  2. Thursday Oficial Estimates - http://www.kinometro.ru/kassovye-sbory/show/name/sbori-chetverga-lego-legok $393 369 for Pompeii, #1, probably will win this weekend.
  3. My "At Least" Forecast #17 for total gross, February 27: Name; Copies; Total gross $; The Lego Movie; ~1186; 10m Talk of the devil*; ~950; 4m Vampire Academy; ~1000; 2,5m Spiral*; ~800; 0,5m Dallas Buyers Club; ~320; 0,5m Her; ~330; 0,5m Philomena; ~150; 0,5m *Local. **There is also a bunch of other movies, but their results not worth mentioning at all(less than 0.5m). Too many movies with the comparable potential, all should pass 0,5m, but i have no idea about final standings. I did not put a lot of thought over this forecast, Lego figure is from the first long-term prediction, as preview turns out to be pretty weak.
  4. Actual$, weekend 20.02-23.02: 1) Pompeii - 5 817 640 2) RoboCop - 1 825 040 (8 732 817) 3) The Pirate Fairy - 1 428 549 (3 966 882) 4) American Hustle - 1 406 317 (4 353 207) 5) The Monuments Men - 1 263 408 6) The Wolf Of Wall Street - 1 115 337 (12 161 443) 7) Viy* - 719 432 (33 759 277) 8) In sports only girls* - 638 430 (6 295 962) 9) Lone Survivor - 578 176 10) Belka and Strelka* - 563 921 (5 558 469) (-) 13) Kaze tachinu - 291 426 http://kinobusiness.com/kassa/2013/top50.php Lego preview(2 days) - ~$900k
  5. Monday Pompeii - $700k+ Robocop - $160k+ American Hustle - $160k+ The Wolf of Wall Street - $120k+ Lego - $80k+ Kaze tachinu - $40k+ Huge drop for Lego on Monday. Very rough numbers(since the base is official Thursday estimates). Probably won't post Tue-Wed. Weekend Actual$ and Forecast tomorrow.
  6. Sunday Pompeii - $2,4m+ Robocop - $600k+ Lego - $520k+ American Hustle - $480k+ The Wolf of Wall Street - $345k+ (-) Kaze tachinu - $140k+ 2 theaters are still playing Frozen in my city, great hold. And 2 theaters are showing Kaze tachinu, 1 screening per day, probably going to see it tomorrow.
  7. Saturday Pompeii - $2,3m+ Robocop - $560k+ American Hustle - $490k+ The Wolf of Wall Street - $430k+ Lego - $330k+ (-) Kaze tachinu - $120k+ Maybe even more off, but still, shouldn't be less.
  8. Friday Pompeii - $1,1m+ Robocop - $270k+ American Hustle - $260k+ The Wolf of Wall Street - $240k+ (-) Kaze tachinu - $42k+ Should be something like that, at least no less and standings is right, it's difficult to adjust from ekinobilet numbers, Lego preview starts today, not so wide, but it might earn more than a million this weekend and build WOM.
  9. Thursday Pompeii - $814 836 ($1 011 520) Robocop - $224 782 ($7 157 652) American Hustle - $191 395 ($3 132 858) Monuments Men - $157 534 The Wolf of Wall Street - $139 780 ($11 089 703) The Pirate Fairy - $95 532 ($2 629 459) Lone Survivor - $94 318 ($108 781) (-) Kaze tachinu - $36 527 http://www.kinometro.ru/kassovye-sbory/show/name/sbori-chetverga-pompei
  10. It's Scope, 2.39:1(2.35:1 ratio long gone) There are only 1.89:1(few, some OM) and 2.39:1(most, Hobbit incl.) in Digital "IMAX", same for 15/70mm, except it can be up to 1.43:1(CF), most movies are still in Scope. More than that, there are plenty of digital "IMAX" theaters with 2,39:1 AR screens.
  11. My "At Least" Forecast #16 for total gross, February 20: Name; Copies; Total gross $; Pompeii; ~1500; 13m The Monuments Men; ~1035; 4m Lone Survivor; ~520; 2m Kaze tachinu; ~180; 0,5m *Local. **There is also a bunch of other movies, but their results not worth mentioning at all(less than 0.5m). $270k+ Tuesday for Wolf($260k+ on Monday).
  12. Actual$, weekend 13.02-16.02: 1) RoboCop - 5 679 749 2) The Wolf Of Wall Street - 2 872 076 (10 219 497) 3) Viy* - 2 530 189 (32 438 494) 4) American Hustle - 2 316 859 5) The Pirate Fairy - 2 134 997 6) In sports only girls* - 1 627 727 (5 214 032) 7) Belka and Strelka* - 1 534 901 (4 754 250) 8) Winter's Tale - 1 239 223 9) Nymphomaniac - 644 690 10) Unreal Love* - 608 608 http://kinobusiness.com/kassa/2013/top50.php Some cumes: Gravity - 7 690 (21 618 008) 47 Ronin - 2 490 (26 271 229) Blue Jasmine - 713 (1 120 439) Jack Ryan: SR - 427 (3 655 329) Last Vegas - 147 (8 084 210) (-) The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - 23 560 907
  13. Amazing results, indeed, $2,3m for AH, woah, nobody expected such strong result.
  14. Saturday Robocop - $1,9m+ Wolf - $1m+ Viy* - $880k+ American Hustle - $460k+ 1 USD - 35,25(!) RUB At least $5,4m OW for Robocop, not bad, considering the ratings... $1,3m+ OW for AH is also quite good. We should wait for actuals to find out whether Wolf is over or under $3m, but nevertheless not bad too. Another Kinometro forecast for totals - http://www.kinometro.ru/analytics/show/name/pompei_nakanune Pompeii - ~$13m The Monuments Men - ~$4,3m Lone Survivor - ~$2,3m Lego previews start Feb. 22, though commercials of Peabody, which comes out March 6, is already on TV, and i haven't seen any Lego spots still.
  15. Ekinobilet started updating their numbers few times a day(before they update only once), it's practically impossible to adjust/estimate, but it should be no less than this: Friday Robocop - $1,2m+ Wolf - $750k+ Viy* - $530k+ Winter's Tale - $450k+ American Hustle - $330k+ 1 USD - 34,86 RUB Everything grew nuts on Friday, i don't know what's happening, maybe Juni with Rentrak numbers will clarify.
  16. Thursday Oficial Estimates: Robocop - $848 677 Wolf - $318 011 American Hustle - $261 287 http://www.kinometro.ru/kassovye-sbory/show/name/sbori-chetverga-robokop-i-afera That's better, but still ...
  17. Thursday openers estimate: Robocop - $785k+ American Hustle - $125k+ Winter's Tale - $113k+ Nymphomaniac - $100k+(with previews) The Pirate Fairy - $84k+ Unreal Love* - $35k+ (-) Wolf - $280k+ Viy* - $225k+ Now even $10m for Robocop is a long shot. Overall, very weak..., strong result of Nymphomaniac, though.
  18. Wednesday Wolf - $565k+ Viy* - $530k+ Kinometro forecast for this weekend: 1) Robocop - $4,6m 2) Wolf - $2,87m -49% I hope Wolf does more than $3m, but it's clear that the runtime is not helping, though I'm personally would like to see 4hr version)))
  19. My "At Least" Forecast #15 for total gross, February 13: Name; Copies; Total gross $; Robocop; ~1000; 12m American Hustle; ~1000; 3,5m The Pirate Fairy; ~500; 3m Winter's Tale; ~800; 2,5m Unreal Love*; ~1000; 2m Nymphomaniac; ~200; 1m *Local. **There is also a bunch of other movies, but their results not worth mentioning at all(less than 0.5m). Tuesday: Wolf is still on top with $550k+ Viy* - $520k+ Saw La belle et la bête trailer yesterday on a big screen, looks amazing, great visuals and soundtrack, i expect no less than $8m for it, coming out along with Noah on March 27 http://kp.cdn.yandex.net.cache-novosibirsk02.cdn.yandex.net/674218/kinopoisk.ru-La-belle-__38_-la-b__234_te-195077.mp4 Dub is exceptionally good. TV spots of Pompeii(Feb. 20) is up and running, unlike Robocop(I haven't seen any) it might have a shot at $15m+.
  20. Actual$, weekend 6.02-9.02: 1) Viy* - 6 866 091 (28 262 689) 2) The Wolf Of Wall Street - 5 669 139 3) Belka and Strelka* - 2 807 575 4) In sports only girls* - 2 756 559 5) The Physician - 791 682 6) That Awkward Moment - 537 928 7) I, Frankenstein - 511 296 (11 205 981) 8) Devil's Due - 305 559 (1 468 659) 9) Champions* - 284 367 (5 144 306) 10) August - 247 631 (804 062) (-) 13) Frozen - 49 784 (33 278 719) http://kinobusiness.com/kassa/2013/top50.php Monday: Wolf is back on top with $545k+ $500k+ for Viy* Monday drop is not that harsh, but it is ~70%, so i don't think $15m+ is likely now, though $12m(my prediction) is locked for sure, should top AH easily this weekend(and weekends to come).
  21. $2m+ Saturday for Wolf, Viy* is ahead, though, with $2,7m+, overall it seems like at least $5,5m+ weekend for Wolf and $7m+ for Viy. Very unlikely now. Not gonna happen. My prediction is still the same: Btw, Kinometro released their forecast for next weekend releases total: 1) Robocop - ~$11,4m 2) American Hustle - ~$3,7m 3) The Pirate Fairy - ~$3,1m 4) Winter's Tale - ~$2,3m 5) Unreal Love* - ~$1,7m
  22. Openers Wednesday(ekinobilet): 1) Viy* - $1,25m+ 2) Devil's Due - $95k+ 3) August - $50k+ $200k+ for I, Frankenstein, $130k+ for Champions*. 1 USD = 35,45(!!!) RUB Openers Friday(ekinobilet): 1) The Wolf of Wall Street - $1m+ 2) In sports only girls* - $385k+(plus $140k+ for previews) 3) Belka and Strelka* - $115k+ 4) That Awkward Moment - $66k+ 5) The Physician - $63k+ $900k+ for Viy* 1 USD = 34,96 RUB *Local Cutting % back again, to ~45 now, don't want to overestimate. Yeah, baby, nobody expected Wolf to beat Viy*, very strong result.
