My late reaction. Romulus looked and sounded great, liked the characters for the most part. What was negative for me was some of the pacing (e.g. the ridiculous growth rate of the aliens) and a couple of times the fan service was just too on the nose (e.g. "get away from her"). Some questionable moments, too (e.g. elevator shaft). No home run but a solid entry, nonetheless. 7/10

People complaining seem to have never watched anime. And the revered Ghibli films (love Mononoke!) look pretty much just like that, with slightly differing art style. That's anime for you, choppiness and all. Going in with the right expectations, i like what i see, especially the Japanese trailer. I said from the beginning, don't expect big box office returns, the brand will help a little but this style of animation has had a niche existence in the so called west.

I would never turn down a James Cameron directed movie but reboot? Sigh... He should do the frigging future war movie, have been saying this for years. Obviously, he doesn't seem to be interested in this. Instead, a machine in disguise goes back in time to kill somebody, AGAIN! Anyway, this reboot will never get made. Probably... -

I believe Avatar 3 will drop from the second which had the benefit of like 12 years of anticipation and inflation. Hopefully it'll be the better movie. Not that Way of Water was bad but i have very high standards when it comes to a James Cameron movie. Good is not good enough. -
There are bits which are confusing me, though. The much talked about Sauron fooling them AGAIN by putting on a blond wig? Elves ain't the brightest fellows, it seems. Maybe i'm missing something here, have to rewatch the first season, how the forging of the rings played out, who exactly knows about Halbrand etc. Maybe Celebrimbor knowingly decided to colaborate with Sauron coz he has the hots for the rings, i dunno. Or maybe he got bewitched lol. And then the whole angle of the rings being dangerous. As far as i remember, only after the master ring got forged Sauron started to exert his will over all the other rings. I really hope there are some good explanations for this, preferably also for things that happend in Season 1 that i found quite... strange, to say the least, like the whole Mithril having healing properties business.

Nobody over 40 gives a shit about Transformers (especially true for the later installments). Gladiator seems to have the youth (internet views) and the older demographic on its side. Transformers is a movie franchise on life support, Gladiator is a sequel to a classic. Doesn't necessarily mean it'll live up to some of the lofty expectations but one can poke many holes in your argument.

Weeeeell, everything? I'm not a fan of rap in general and popular music of all kinds in trailers usually don't work for me. I want "epic film" music in my trailers, especially for these kind of movies. When it comes to this, i'm a conservative, i guess. I get it, these trailers are not made necessarily for me but for the average Joe...
