  1. As of last Thursday DOS was at $343m OS, AUJ at the same point in its run was at $344m, almost even. Both figures include every market the movies were released in at the time. Or do i miss something?
  2. There's also Japan AUJ has already opened in and DOS hasn't. If it manages to stay flat without Japan that would be good for it's chances of reaching a billion.
  3. It's not as big a problem as some make it out to be. Saying a movie will now drop like a rock because some dvd copy found its way on the internet can't be farther from the truth. That stuff happens all the time and there is no proof whatsoever about that having any effect on box office. The majority of people who download would not have seen it in theaters anyway.
  4. If the movie comes out over two months after its release elsewhere you can bet a screener is out by that time.
  5. It's probably Anderson's best movie. Admittedly, that doesn't say much. I remember it not being THAT bad, though.
  6. According to this article AUJ was at $344m. Pretty good for DOS considering it still has Japan and it had a day less in Australia. But it's eery how similar their respective runs are...
  7. I guess i'm just not into that stuff. The fight scenes are very well made, though. It's not that i hate them or anything. I watched them and found them okay but nothing that stays in your memory.
  8. I don't get how the Bourne movies have fans. They are kinda generic. I won't deny that they are decently made but the plot is some generic espionage stuff. I dunno how someone can get so invested in these movies. More power to them, i guess.
  9. Friday 11m (+5%) Saturday 11.5m (+5%) Sunday 9.5m (-17%) Weekend $32m Expect the worst hope for the best.
  10. There have been bad or lukewarm reviews for major games from major gaming sites all the time, just look at the recent launch lineup for the new consoles. I wonder, if publishers have such an influence over scores, why do they let that slip? If it ever came out that reviewers are bought they would lose credibility and in turn viewership, without viewership they get less money from ads.
  11. Well, everything is based on your perception of a turd. Opinions are opinions are opinions. There are less blockbuster games than movies every year. Maybe because publishers put all their eggs in fewer baskets there's more quality control.
  12. I disagree. It's a myth based on a few bad apples that tarnished the whole industry. Everytime a score is not in line with expectations of fans or haters, such accusations are brought up.
