  1. That's not even worth discussing.$50m next weekend would be awesome. $40m is more likely.
  2. There are quite a few of you still believing in $700m. Are legs really that good at the end of the year? That would be a multiplier over 4 from current markets.
  3. I dunno how to read that coz according to that site ROTK never had more than 23 territories. Is territory the same as country or not?
  4. I'm not forgetting them.In how many markets did ROTK opened to and how much did it make?
  5. So you are saying BD2 would not have opened to $100m on this weekend? I say it would, more, $120m at least.
  6. I remember baumer laughing at me for suggesting Expendables 2 would do less than the first (DOM). Come one, let's not gloat too much, we all have our fail moments.
  7. Well, i disagree. There are people there that don't like PJ's interpretation of LOTR, they just happen to be a minority. And people that like PJ but don't agree with everything he's done. That they are more positive towards PJ's films is only natural, they started as a site covering the production, people that were fond of the films gravitated towards that site. And it is run pretty well. The forum software could have been better, though.
  8. *lol* That's me.They are not such a bad bunch, some of them can get a little defensive sometimes. And to be fair, they don't follow box office as much as we do.
  9. No, because better matinees doesn't mean it'll do better in the evening as well. And most cash is made in the evening.
  10. Sure but THAT much bigger? Double the friday? In many markets it got released on friday, there's gotta be some rush factor so sat won't be that much bigger.
  11. That's the exception. But i doubt the dragon had anything to do with the success.
  12. I don't think a dragon is such a huge selling point. It's not like it's the first dragon on film. Actually, dragon films bombed.
  13. Last time i checked the majority here liked Hobbit, to my surprise.
  14. Well, that was before the move to 3 films. Probably budget is gonna increase a bit but in return they get another billion or thereabout out of it.
