    I'm not too much on the Mario's bandwagon but fuck it, if this is going to do gangbuster #'s Worldwide, I hope this dethrones fucking Frozen. Cannot stand that movie being #1..

    Year since commenting here.. Puss in Boots flopping? All right but, when was the last time DreamWorks Animation had a true and legit hit?

    Amazing how Frozen 1 survived titans like Minions, Despicable Me 3, Finding Dory or Incredibles 2 in worldwide grosses. Only its sequel, Frozen 2, could break the record. I don't see another animated movie taking that crown besides a new Shrek movie which hasn't even been confirmed.

    This was never going to get Incredibles 2 sized grosses. Some people thought this was the most anticipated animated movie of all time and whatnot

    Despicable Me now is what Shrek was in 2010.

    Still it was (and is) a beloved film. Shrek 2 had a much bigger increase from its predecessor than Toy Story 2. Whats more, Shrek 3 broke the animation OW record (we all know why it did not have good legs) in a period where CGI was not seen as an event anymore (year before 2006 had a tremendous glut of CGI movies)
