For the day, Battleship -- headlining Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker and Liam Neeson -- is looking at a gross in the $11 million to $12 million range, including more than $400,000 from Thursday's midnight runs.
Sacha Baron Cohen’s R-rated comedy The Dictator and Lionsgate’s comedy What to Expect When You’re Expecting aren’t faring much better. From Paramount, Dictator is projected to gross in the $5 million range on Friday for a five-day debut of $20 million to $21 million (the pic opened Wednesday) and a three-day bow of $13 million to $14 million, notably less than the openings of Baron Cohen’s Borat ($26 million) and Bruno ($30 million).
What to Expect When You’re Expecting is on track for a $4.5 million Friday, putting it at $13 million to $14 million for the weekend.
