  1. It can be crippling though. I was in college '04 to '08 and I remember my parents being shocked by the cost of everything compared to when they were in school in the 70's. College costs have gone up much faster than wages or inflation.

My parents would tell us the cost of our books was more than EVERYTHING for them in the 70's. And both of us went to a state school. The private schools are even more outrageous. And it's scary to think that it has just kept on skyrocketing even since I graduated in '08. I am lucky as hell that my parents paid for my degree so I had no debt starting my career.

Yea that's good...I graduated around the same time with quite a bit of debt...every month when my student loan bills come due, a small part of me dies...

  2. That's interesting, I'd say the reverse. Yes, of course don't go into crazy debt, but get your BA or BS in a broad category, and save the specialization for higher learning.

I think its a combination of getting a degree that requires a skill but not getting too specialized unless its in a booming growth sector...A good example is engineering/sciences...

Anyone who has a bachelor's in ME can get a job in any field practically because they are so much in demand but if you got a PhD in ME then available jobs become restrictive just because there aren't too many out there due to pay/need...

A specialized PhD in Biotechology is definitely worth it though since those folks get sucked up by Pharmaceutical companies like there's no tomorrow whereas a bachelors in Biotechology may get a job but after quite a bit of hunt and not much pay...

  3. What gets me about

    That's called work.

And unfortunately the Spend Money takes care of most of the 'Make Money'

What I need is to be a kid again with all the experience and knowledge I have now...

Oh what I wouldn't give to climb into a time machine and tell my younger self to not do some of the stupid things I have done or to take another different path...

Not to complain as I have a good life but could have been so much better/different...I guess that's life though...filled with regrets...

  4. Ok, I'll just weigh in on everything.

Avengers is the second best CBM ever made and by far the most entertaining.

TDK is not only the best CBM ever made, but imo one of the top films ever made.

I love all the X-men movies, even 3.

    Citizen Kane sucks.

TITE is one of the funniest movies ever made, if you get all the references.  If you don't, you need to watch more movies.

Pizza from Sopranos was terrific....double cheese and mushrooms

Insomnia is fine but not great.

Inception is Nolan's second best film.

    Where are the Saturday numbers?

Pulp Fiction is one of the most if not the most original scripts.  Foot massages, $5.00 shakes, Tony Rocky Horror, bowls of rice in Indo-China with niggas in them, blueberry pie, getting medieval, Butch, choppers, Hunny Bunny and so much more.

    Puny God....so funny.

    Godzilla sucks.

RDJ was a drug addict who then became a king.  Thank Joel Silver for that.

The Matrix is also one of the greatest films ever.

Nicolas Cage will be good again one day.

    And so much more.

Mel Gibson too...he put up the insurance money so RDJ could even get hired on his comeback flick Kiss Kiss Bang Bang I believe...

  5. I hope they crank up Cap 's fighting skills in AOU, Thor gets some more love. Hawkeye's bow and arrow skills are underrated, imo.

Hawkeye had some very cool shots in Avengers...The one where he fires backside without looking for one but agree they can amp him up a bit too...

Cap between TFA/Avengers and TWS was night and day though...I hope the one in AOU is more like the one in TWS...
