  1. Unrelated to the film but so many members of my block list have seemingly congregated inside this particular thread that the entire topic is just unreadable.
  2. One of the international iTunes stores just released this which is interesting because today is a Sunday, and it was presumed the earliest home release would be SEPTEMBER. Don't know if this is another Demon Slayer situation, when Sony accidentally released the movie onto the defunct PS Video Store 3 months early.
  3. Some Deadline guy was also hinting that the tracking for Oppenheimer and Barbie is surprisingly high to people that know about the testing for both films a couple days ago.
  4. Indiana Jones is one of those franchises that I feel had a lite reevaluation or re-contextualisation after a sequel released. The freak out over that 4th movie was so over the top (remember the South Park episode?). I think it made people realise the franchise where a man survives a nuke by hiding in a fridge, is the same franchise where a man survived a waterfall in a toys’r’us inflatable boat. It’s silly. I was young when Indy 4 came out. Seeing adults lose their mind over that film, and later watching all 4 myself, was probably my first instance noticing adults and internet nerds have the ability to be morons. The original trilogy is enjoyable, yet flawed. The movies get placed on a pedestal because they’re the best at delivering its style of adventure. Aside from the occasional Mummy or POTC, most Indy imitators are horrible. It’s 2023, I think people are pretty content with their original trilogy blu-rays and have moved on.
  5. What happened to the JLaw movie from last week? Also, I know it’s early but Ruby Gilliams Verified RT is fucking nuts for a toon. I think even Strange World started higher
  6. Why? This is the 6th or 7th MI movie. If you haven't seen the previous 5 or 6 movies, why would Top Gun influence you to see this one?
  7. I'll take a guess that Mattel is doing what Rovio did with Angry Birds, and, to a lesser extent, what Lego did with the Lego Movie. They both promote the movie, but the toy company keeps all or as much of the merchandise revenue that they can.
  8. I might be wrong with this but I feel as if there’s only been two movies this summer that are guaranteed not to lose money. We still have to wait for Barrie and Oppenheimer.
  9. I think the movie was about to get delayed but they had to announce the cancellation of the Bad Bunny film first. Delay announcement probably coming later this year.
  10. I saw that scene in my pornhub recommendations last week... It's a different kind of marketing, thats for sure.
  11. Oh dear. Looks like this movie actually tested well. For the critics to sense something’s fishy with The Flash, and then for audience to just reject the movie as they did implies there might be a problem with the way WB are conducting these studies.
