  1. I can't even begin to start. Critics get most films wrong. They can't enjoy movies. They see too many of them and they are there to be critical. Plus their minds are corrupted because when they hear that "movie A is getting oscar buzz" or something of that nature, they then feel pressure to see the brilliance of it even though they might not really think it.

I have to disagree with you, I find that they get it right most of the time.
  2. If they follow this guy's advice, I doubt we'll be seeing any ticket price changes soon

And that's true. April-September was actually quite good last year. It was the first and last three months that really stunk.

That guy's looking at it the wrong way. Q2 and Q3 were still quite average from an admissions POV. And if they lower the ticket prices there would have been more admissions.

I don't know why they don't at least try it, just to see what effect it might have.

  3. LOL, The Devil Inside may have a good Friday, but it is going to plummet worse than anything in recent memory. It's the worst movie I have seen in at least 10 years. The ending really must be seen to be believed. They could have taken the last reel and swapped it with someone taking a crap and it would have been a better ending. I saw it at a free screening and I think I may have lost some of my hearing from the booing.

That makes me want to spend actual money to see it.
