Noah -72% from last Thursday
Elegant Lies -43%
The Grand Budapest Hotel +124%
Do you think 300k admissions is possible for Grand budapest hotel? I'd love to see it happen.

Noah is poor but I CA2 is doing fine.
that Thursday number is still higher than the previous highest march OD before noah.
Presales are up and admissions should rise tomorrow.

For me TDK has more memorable scenes which is my definition of a good movie.
As good as CA:TWS was I don't think any scenes left a lasting impression.
Genuine question to you all, which scenes from CA2 do you think you'd remember 5 years from now?

In 14 days, it opened on Friday.
My bad I I just subtracted 14 from 27.....
14th day then

Seriously though $40m in 13 days? That's monstrous!

The avengers: Age of Ultron starts filming in Korea on march 30th. Filming will take place over various famous landmarks in Seoul and will last for up to two weeks. It's worth noting that filming has never been done on this kind scale before in seoul. Places like Mapo bridge will be closed for up to 10 hours, something that has never happened since the bridge was opened in July 1900. Other filming locations include Kangnam, Sangam, floating island and the like.
Traffic will be a nightmare but I for one think this is a good thing

12pm Korean time. Approx 8 hours from nowOkey. When do we get thursday numbers?
-
Sorry didn't mean to imply you didn't. Current presales are mostly for the rest of the week counting the weekend.I know what presales are

Presales means buying a ticket before watching as opposed to buying it at theaters. It doesn't really matter if a movie has opened.Presales?Has' ent it opend allready? Or is it for thursday?

CA:TWS presales rising continuously. It just passed 100,000 tickets in presales (64,000 before OD)Presale: 100,030 (58.3% share)

So are Marvel movies more like walk up movies in SK as in NA?
I guess for some of them. I don't think it's really a pattern or anything though. People who go to the cinemas without a specific movie in mind will probably choose marvel blockbuster movies most of the time. I'm guessing that's the case in NA too?

Wow, great OD. Better than I expected. I thought it would land around 110k-120k admits.
Same here, since pre-sales were only 2/3 of Noah's before release and the pre-release ratings were similar I'd imagined it would open lower than what it did. No complaints though

I don't know,but ratings are extremely high!
For animations I'd agree that ratings are higher than they should be but otherwise there are a lot of movies that don't have that high a rating.
Noah is rated at 6.32 and 300:RoaE is 7.29 for example.
Naver ratings just show the response of the movie audience which is pretty helpful in my opinion

No offense, but Naver ratings are so ridiculous!
what's your better alternative?
-
CA2 rating rises to 9.3/10 on naver.com..
Rating breakdown
Male(70%):9.36
Female(30%):9.22
age group
10s (16%):9.78
20s (50%):9.27
30s (20%): 9.07
40s (9%): 9.4
Teenage boys like it the most which isn't surprising I guess.

With better WOM than both, can it hit 4M maybe even 5M admissions?
That would be a huge huge breakout. the highest admissions for a march release film is 4.1M and it is ranked at a lowly 80.
Agree with olive we should see how the OW is first but I don't think it'll do that much. Maybe 3.5-4M
-
showtime count is pretty impressive for TWS considering Noah only had 3644 on opening day.
with son of God released on april 10th I can see Noah slowly fading away now
-
IN sk
44% bigger than THOR2, 160% bigger than CA1.

I can see TWS matching Thor2's Sat-sun

I'd rank CA:TWS at around 6th in my favorite marvel movie list after SM2,SM1,TA,Thor2 and IM3 (in no particular order). The visuals were amazing and while the direction of the story was somewhat predictable, it's execution was brilliant and the relationships between the characters just clicked. Judging from the ending I'm guessing CA3 will feature the winter soldier(bucky) again which is a great idea imo.
One issue I have is that the movie was a bit long, over 2 hours I think. I was almost a little bored at times before the story dragged me back in. While I'm glad the plot didn't feel rushed it also dragged along a bit during the middle.
Also glad nick fury didn't die was worried for a minute.

Great. With discount prices, probably 4-4.5M for the day. TS3 WW is going down by Thursday.
Wish Japan would post some daily numbers so we could track exactly when it goes over

Excellent! I heard that it's getting 100 more screens due to its strong performance which is unheard of for a limited release arthouse film.
Really putting some of the big budgeted movies to shame
