JP is one and done with Joker. Dude sacrificed his dad bod for that film, don't know if he's gonna wanna do that again
No way WB let him get a one and done deal.

THE BATMAN coming July 2020 followed by THE BATMAN 2 featuring JP's Joker coming DECEMBER 2021 = $$$$$#$

Suddenly, it's looking very good for the DCEU.
Should they just bring back Cavil & Affleck?
Cavill, to me, is obvious and a good MOS 2 would be another possible billion grosser. Affleck, on the other hand, tough to say.

Avatar films have a bunch of prime December slots booked up in the early 2020's. Star Wars is going on hiatus after EPISODE IX but those will be back soon and you can bet Disney will stick them in those slots when an Avatar film isn't booked.
Mid July would work great too, as @excel1 noted.
BATS vs JOKER will destroy AVATARD

BATMAN is box office king of heroes. Anything other than an isolated mid July or mid December release date is a shame.
WB no doubt will release BATMAN late 2020 and set up BATMAN v JP Joker in summer 2022 to reclaim all Avengers records.

Even though the films sucked and didn't make as much money as they should have, I would argue that both Wonder Woman and now Aquabro benefitted heavily from being introduced beforehand in BvS and JL.
NOT starting anything but it is VERY clear that their floors were much higher than pretty much all of Marvel phase 1 origin films, wondering if that has something to do with it.

Lets not get overexcited. Its jump is extremely good of course, but it may very well loose some steam when the holidays are over.
300M looks better than ever, but im not sold on anything higher than the 320-360M range quite yet. Which is still amazing for an Aquaman movie.

Week 2: $110m
Week 3: $83m
Week 4: $58m
Week 5: $43m
Week 6: $32m

Fun and enjoyable though the writing/acting combo by Momoa, Heard, and Wilson is terrible.
Nicole Kidman looked fucking incredible btw. WTF was Tom Cruise thinking.

Where is Aquaman looking to finish

People thought its poor box office legs = bad word of mouth when the horrid release date was actually to blame. WWZ and Monsters U combined for $147m in MOS weekend #2, obviously it was going to crash.
MOS with a better release date is a $125m$360m/$850m franchise starter.

Just like Pixar didn't do sequels. If Joker scores 90%+ on RT and is break-out box office hit, TRUST ME, he will be back.
