  1. Word of mouth around here and in social media in general is through the roof. The great internal was to be expected and I also expect great legs as it plays through March. Plus I think it will skew older and more women will go out to see it than your typical cbm. It could reach 380M but for now I will say 350M.
  2. Ummm Wonder Woman? Aquaman? I mean Wonder Woman opened with 103M and legs got it to 400+M. That's insane. Aquamn didn't do quite the same domestically but it was crazy in China.
  3. Did I wake up to an alternate universe that an 110M and an A- cinemascore are considered bad? Boy i knew the drinks i had last night were some hard shit but damn...
  4. 1. The Dark Knight 2.The Batman 3.Batman v Superman UE 4.Batman Begins 5. The Dark Knight Rises First two are equal. Didn't consider ZSJL.
  5. Seems like walk ups went through the roof in Greece as well. Every single of these screen things you are booking tickets on the spot were occupied by people for The Batman. The theater actually added lots of last minutes showings as well and it's quite remarkable the amount of showing given its runtime.
  6. For what is worth, 5m in pre-previews (this is getting ridiculous) is a lot of tickets sold and demand burnt. Plus, I believe that this will skew older than your typical cbm on top of having better walk ups. So I am gonna say 145-150M.
  7. In Greece, the e-ticket section of the country's biggest theater chain ( village)m-and maybe the only one that has left after covid) is glitches hard so since I can't check the tickets sold I will take the site crushing as a good sign. That being said, I do know that all the shows during the rush hours are sold out or close to. And it's quite great considering that Greece doesn't have the type of audience that goes to cinema on Thursday (like literally everyone goes on Wednesday with the discount). It's nowhere near NWH, IW, Endgame or Joker (the latest was doing great pre-sale numbers in an era that it was not necessary to book tickets and was also a walk-up and legs monster).
  8. Since I obviously missed the talk last night because time difference is a bitch and you know sleep is important some times.... here's another review I read and I was like WTF... How is this a fair critique? BATMAN IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE KID FRIENDLY BECAUSE it's a comic book movie. I hope to God this same critic won't review Sandman.
  9. Ok fair but had it been released say when it was initially supposed to then what? The critc would be oh ok now its dark themes are fine so I liked the movie.
  10. I am fully aware of the (very wise)"opinions are like assholes" saying but a couple of negative reviews really bother me coming from a person who is getting paid to judge movies. Like I just read a review saying that a dark movie is the last thing the world needs RIGHT NOW. To begin with, you are not here to say what the world needs right now and, secondly, as critics they are supposed to judge the film on pure filmmaking aspects. It's not the movie's fault that it happened to be released during some very shitty times. Factors like this should not be used in a film's review. It's honestly unfair to whoever worked on this. I would be more pleased had the critic said that the movie is shit and just leave it at that without any explanation.
  11. She was great. I can say that she is the best catwoman yet but I must clarify that have never...wait for it... seen Pfeiffer's performance in context and while Hathaway gave a fantastic performance, her catwoman was underutilized. Well I loved Eternals and I think Man of Steel is the best comic book adaptation of all time. Yeah...why would I even do that?
  12. So yeah The Batman...it's freaking brilliant...in every single aspect. 3 hours of it and I just want to see it again. And again. It's a gripping, masterfully crafted noir. Goes all in with its detective aspect. It feels like Reeves not only wanted to make the best Batman film but dedicated his heart and soul in this. Acting is great across the board. In terms of Batman depiction... idk just yet if this is the best Batman yet (it is very different from what came before after all) but Pattinson definitely gives the best Batman performance. His Bruce and Batman feel like totally different characters but work perfectly as alter egos...idk if I am making any sense here but you will know when you see it. And Paul Dano is hands down the most Underrated actor of his generation. Score and Cinematography are among the best I have seen in many many years. Hoslestly i think there is not one thing I didn't like about this. P.S. Thought I hit submit later but apparently did not. If the mods deleted because of whatever reason then I am sorry for reposting.
  13. Yesterday it was a veeeeery long evening for me as it started with a 3 hour viewing of the batman and finished early today with me puking all over my girlfeiend's apartment from all the alcohol from the party we went after. More on the former when I actually manage to collect my thoughts. Great night thought.
  14. Just want to say that Harcourt is such a fantastic character. Her and Vigilante should have bigger roles in the DCEU moving forward. Think of Harcourt as an important Maria Hill.
  15. Since it seems like WB is very confident in this and every insider out there has said that the film has gotten great reactions i don't get the late embargo. Many have said that it's not the "spoiler" type of movie so they should use the reviews to build hype.
  16. First of all I am surprised WB is doing SB after all these years and they do it with BA instead of Batman. Anyway, wanna really hype this shit up? Get both The Rock and Henry Cavill in the field. Set their fight not with a trailer but in a live sequence with all the hierarchy bs. Not gonna happen but that shit would be epic.
  17. This looks absolutely incredible. There is not a single thing I dislike about it. Talking only about the film though. The trailer itself had some editing issues I think.
  18. Watching a movie again with a huge audience and reactions from it was a bliss and for that alone my experience yesterday was ok. Movie itself was very good as well. Dragged a bit in places but the film soared in the scenes that it had to it so that in bow by far the best Spivey MCU movie.
  19. So this was very good. Defiantly better than the first 2 of the MCU Spiderman movie but in no way better than Raimi's first two movie or maybe even the first TASM. Middle felt like it dragged for too long but third act was great.
