I think they are basing this on trends...all the Superhero film have very loyal fanvases that go see the movie opening weekend.The rush factor plays an important part so SH movie,like the ones mentioned,tend to be more frontloaded.A family film,like BaTB,usually has better legs.And in this case,the film,unlike current SH films,has many fans that are now grown ups and this target group usually shows up in later weekends(The exact same thing occured with Doctor Strange and Fantastic Beast this November.DS opened higher but FB eventually made more.Ironically enough CW/DS and BaTB/FB have even similar RT scores)

I'm afraid she will go back to picking up indie films that once again will be hit or( mainly )miss so people will go back at saying she has no power at the Box Office. In reality,there are no box office stars anymore,only stars that can take a movie that was always destined to be big snd make it a real ...beast.Emma is one of them.Hopefully she gets herself into one big franchise and in the meantime try to play in some indies. True Emma in a Star Wars film would be s real gold mine.Who could she play?Right now i can see the executives of every big studio trying to find an iconic role to offer her.

NAH...they will just offer them all to Emma Watson from now on.As we are talking,they are thinking ways to mske Emma Look like Aladdin and Simba.

I would be happy with everything that gives it an OW of 170+ M...thus giving it the March Record,Pre-Summer Record and Emms Watson record. Don't get me wrong i love both BvS and HP7.2 but it's always nice seeing another movie that you loved as well making huge bussiness.

The lLion King not including The Circle of Life would feel like half a movie,honestly.

Yes i do believe that TLK will be the biggest of them all.It'svthe one Disney animated movie that gets both men and women equally excited.The only problem with it is that it won't be really live action.

I tend to think that this movie can play like s typical Family movie but the the though of what its final number will be inbthis case is mindblowing so i'm trying to lowball my predictions.But if it does...

It's anthing but confirmed.We will have a better picture when we see how it hold across the globe.But yes a 300M WW debut,even close to it,is s great start,especially considering it's a great start and it han't opened to some major markets (including 2 markets that the film is expected ti be huge...Japan and France)

Noah...a religious film(basically targeting a very particular audience) with many changes to the story(making its targrt audience furious),enough to make it one of the most controversial films of this decade.It was very difficult for this film to be a success and yetitmade 340M WW.Do you remember what analysts said upon release?That the film overperforming was due to Emma Watson promoting the film on Social Media.

Like i said,neve underestimate the power of her majesty....Emma Watson.

JW made 18M midnight on its way to 200M weekend...

12-14M is huge for a family film and its grown up fans are in no rush.200M OW is still alive me thinks.

I believe this will have great legs.Not only it's a family film and Easter is right around the corner without much competition but also i think it will pull a Fantastic Beasts and bring out the fans of the otiginal in later weekends.

I'm not sure how to take this tweet considering that i want this film to do something to the 180-200M range ( or higher but i'm trying to be realistic). And the only thing that makes me nervous (not really but...you get it) is that the film will not match the very high predictions and people will regard it as a dissapointment.YES i said i predict 195M OW but i would be totally happy with 140M + .After all it's a non-summer family movie and it's mostly its legs that matter.

A long standing curse has finally been broken.Fantastic Beasts just won the Oscar for Best Costume design.The Harry Potter franchise is officially an Oscar-winning franchise. Congrats to everyone involved.Well deserved. With this and that Suicide Squad oscar win this year's oscars are off to a great and suprising start.

100M is good for me too.Something tells me that US+Canada and European numbers will more than make up for whatever run the film will have in China.

I won't bring TJB as an example because that was a phenomenom in its own right buuuut Cinderella did 71M in China and that didn't had an actress front and centre that Chineese audiences are familiar with.I think a 100+M run is very possible especiall if the film gets good reviews.
