  1. That tweet was from June 11th and nothing has been confirmed or changed. Box office mojo, fandango, etc are the old date. I expect it to move since all international dates have moved to October.
  2. Universal international has the trailer in front of Jurassic Park this weekend. All release dates are in October and November.
  3. Some sites said Weinstein but that might have been an assumption. Watch Weinstein let it release internationally then he releases it as a foreign film.
  4. The producer at the time denied test screenings so there's that. The movie doesn't hasn't had a release date on the Weinstein site and it still dropped the trailer yesterday saying coming soon. Hawke is on a roll and I'm looking forward to this.
  5. Frankenstein might have to deal with tanking headlines but it will still probably make more in Nov than Oct. It feels like they are trying to minimize loss.
  6. I like JGL but he isn't a draw as of yet. Nov 25 was full. I think the unnamed Rogan movie will be the surprise overperformer that weekend.
  7. The Hunger Games taking up IMAX and 3D space would hurt the Martian more and doesn't Disney do well with their Thanksgiving Day debuts? I'm thinking it's a solid move by Fox. If Frankenstein is a turkey this move beats not releasing it in theaters at all.
  8. They didn't want it to get hurt by the Hunger Games. They are basically throwing Frankenstein into the trash. http://deadline.com/2015/06/fox-switches-the-martian-and-victor-frankenstein-release-dates-1201441061/ " The move to October keeps the film away from the second weekend of the popular Lionsgate franchise Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 and off of the same weekend as Disney’s Good Dinosaur" As for Frankenstein "This is the second time the film has been pushed. It was originally skedded for January. Enough said."
  9. Her accent sounded good to me. I really liked the atmosphere of the trailer.
  10. All other action films this year will have to work hard to get me to buy a ticket for their movies.
  11. That's a great poster. It doesn't have that much competition that weekend but I'm not sure Levitt can bring in good box office numbers. I guess this will depend on marketing. This poster is a promising start.
  12. So Home's opening was better than Cinderella and Insurgent? That's pretty good.
  13. 70+ million sounded more impressive than the actuals I hate when they overestimate like that. It feels like a let down when it shouldn't.
  14. A great cast and Del Toro. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
  15. Isn't the Dailly Star a tabloid? I bet he and Dakota will want more money.
  16. I was hoping to see Hawke at Cannes. Do crime dramas make it to Cannes? My hopes are fading!
  17. I don't think this is a horror movie. Suspense isn't it? BTW how did you like it?
  18. I just saw this movie and really enjoyed it. I can see why it picked up an Oscar.
  19. After the watching the first movie I've decided I need to read the books. In glad they are making the sequel.
