Looking back, this may be one of the most important movies of the decade. It killed a whole franchise, arguably a whole genre, and caused The Rock's popularity to be a laughing stock and rework his entire brand and movie strategy. If this thing was a hit, he would not be doing an A24 movie. Nor WWE for that matter. This is like our modern-day Cleopatra.

This isn't the first time Flopped/La Binoche has done some pretentious BS as a way to troll Marvel and Disney fans. Don't worry, I already gave them warning points. Though there is still truth to the tweet IMO. People claim that they want originality, but they never show up, and are very much the least demanding they've ever been. I know people hate when I say NTCs, but like...I'm not wrong. That's all that people want to see, and it's gotten worse and worse over the decades. And that's not good for anybody!

Anecdotal, but Civil War has been brought up by some of my coworkers a couple times over the last couple weeks, including from people who don't seem all movie-centric. I'm still in my "only NTCs can find success" mood, but this has been the one April movie that felt the most like a breakout, in regards timing and reception and content and execution.

Praying we get a 20th anniversary re-release for The Spongebob Movie. Like I'm not even joking, I would be there on the first fucking day! 🙏
