  1. Ronan feels like a given. Pugh will probably get some notices too, especially since she's having a banner year, and is looking to breakout (her next project is Black Widow)
  2. That's a 45% jump from Monday. By comparison Fallout had a 38% jump on its first Tuesday (yes, I know discount Tuesday is way crazier nowadays than it was last year)
  3. You may roll your eyes at the rap in the trailer, but that's just following tradition from the last two movies.
  4. It Chapter Two Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-30 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 85 450 18,022 2.50% Total Seats Sold Today: 56 Adjusted Comp 9.61x of Hobbs & Shaw 30 days before release (55.7M) I'm just posting these comps here just for a good-sized laugh. Obviously, don't take this stuff seriously.
  5. The Art of Racing in the Rain Greater Philadelphia Area T-2 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 18 27 2,395 1.13% Total Showings Added Today: 2 Total Seats Added Today: 233 Total Seats Sold Today: 10 Adjusted Comp 0.01x of The Lion King 2 days before release (197K) Well, at least the comp increased.
  6. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-2 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 34 195 4,882 3.99% Total Showings Added Today: 14 Total Seats Added Today: 1,574 Total Seats Sold Today: 72 Comp 1.99x of Crawl 2 days before release (2M) A slight increase, but still ahead of Crawl quite impressively. Tomorrow's probably the real deal-breaker on whether this breaks out or not, but things are looking rosy.
  7. Dora and the Lost City of Gold Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-2 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 38 102 6,434 1.59% Total Showings Added Today: 5 Total Seats Added Today: 563 Total Seats Sold Today: 10 Adjusted Comp 0.02x of The Lion King 2 days before release (524K) Yeah yeah yeah, poor comp to use, but I feel like selling only 10 tickets is pretty bad. I'm hoping it's just my area, but if this is supposed to break out, it should have probably done much better today. Maybe Wednesday and Thursday can change things around?
  8. Brian Banks Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-2 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 14 4 1,428 0.28% Total Showings Added Today: 4 Total Seats Added Today: 80 Total Seat Sold Today: 1 No comps. Don't ask
  9. Feels a little awkward to have this air in 2020, but I'm still excited.
  10. It reminds me of when USA Network delayed the Shooter TV series with Ryan Phillipe like 3 times due to a series of police shootings that occurred around the time the show was set to premiere. Trashmerica ladies and gents
  11. Never mind, I found what Mori was talking about I honestly don't think you can make a new Home Alone anything nowadays, unless it was set in the 90s or earlier. With cell phones and home security nowadays, the movie would end in like 5 minutes.
  12. ESPN+ isn't that great of a package though, outside of UFC and I guess cricket. They don't have NFL, NBA, MLB, or NHL for obvious reasons, so their big tentpoles are stuff considered add-ons like college sports or tennis or non-FIFA soccer. But hey, if you're going to get both Disney+ and Hulu, people will probably throw that one in too. wait whu?
  13. Chad Iger already making a power move on the Virgin Hastings
  14. You laugh, but that actually did happen in the 90s
  15. It Chapter Two Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-31 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 85 394 18,022 2.19% Total Showings Added Today: 9 Total Seats Added Today: 1,828 Total Seats Sold Today: 33 Adjusted Comp 11.08x of Hobbs & Shaw 31 days before release (64.2M) Wow. It 2's previews over Endgame? Feige's out here quaking in his boots. I kid, I kid. But despite the abnormally large preview #, I guess it does show that interest is still very, very strong. Sure presales are very slow and steady at the moment, but those preview #s at least show there's a lot of demand for this. Of course we can only wait and see how much demand there is in the coming days. Also, now every theater I'm tracking has IT showtimes up...except for one. Times are up, but they aren't available for purchase. I guess the guys in charge of online presales don't really feel like it?
  16. The Art of Racing in the Rain Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-3 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 16 17 2,162 0.79% Adjusted Comp 0.01x of The Lion King 3 days before release (177K) lol
  17. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-3 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 20 123 3,308 3.72% Comp 1.86x of Crawl 3 days before release (1.9M) That's not bad. I don't know if it will hit that high, especially since this is a brand, both as a book series and del Toro as a producer, but it's a promising start. If it follows Slender Man or Crawl with that preview, it would cross 20M.
  18. I'm very confused at the people who are all "I wonder what Disney will do for Labor Day". They have always done an expansion for the summer Pixar movie. Every single one. Every single year. Why would Disney do something different all of a sudden?
  19. Dora and the Lost City of Gold Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-3 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 33 92 5,871 1.57% Adjusted Comps 0.03x of The Lion King 3 days before release (616K) This is one that you shouldn't take that seriously. Not only is there one comp, but said comp is the biggest previews for a PG movie ever, and has an adult/fanboy skew. So yeah, different worlds. So putting that into perspective, we really don't have much to work with. So with that said...eh, I guess it could be worse?
